Abstract: An image display apparatus, a method for driving the same, and a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium are provided. The image display apparatus includes an image receiver configured to receive a plurality of compressed images comprising an original image, a signal processor configured to decode a compressed image corresponding to a region of interest (e.g., a user's region of interest) from among the plurality of received compressed images, and a display configured to display the decoded compressed image.
