  • Patent number: 11287831
Abstract: There is provided an electrically-powered material-transport vehicle having a vehicle-charging contact on one side of the vehicle, and a second vehicle-charging contact on the opposite side of the vehicle. The vehicle has a load-bearing cap that covers the top of the vehicle, and a cap elevator for raising and lowering the cap. The cap can be raised and lowered to a transit position, a payload-engagement position, a charging position, and a maintenance position. In the transit position and payload-engagement position, the cap covers the vehicle-charging contacts so that they are not exposed. In the charging position, the cap is raised so that the vehicle-charging contacts are exposed. The vehicle can enter a charging-dock with the cap in the charging position in order to recharge the vehicle's battery.

  • Publication number: 20130064974
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for converting expanded polystyrene into a rigid material are disclosed herein. The methods of modifying EPS herein generally include placing EPS workload into a pressurized chamber and applying heat and pressure through a gas. The application of heat and pressure is held for a determined amount of time, the pressure of the internal chamber is then lowered below atmospheric pressure and a hot or cool step is administered. The resulting CPS product can be modified in a multiple number of ways depending on the desired end product.

  • Publication number: 20120226780
Abstract: The invention is a method for enabling digital content to be downloaded to and used on multiple types of computing device by (i) linking user accounts on each device to a “master” user account defined and stored on a remote server; and (ii) managing the user's access to a defined service using his devices via the said master user account; and (iii) allowing the download of digital content to each said device on which the user is permitted to access the said service using a file format which is appropriate for use on each said device type. A user may manage and access the same user account from multiple types of computing devices. Furthermore, the number of device platforms accessible in a similar manner by the user is extensible and the user's information is kept automatically synchronized across all devices.
