  • Publication number: 20250032958
Abstract: Apparatus for separating a gaseous phase from a multiphase feed material of solids, liquids and gases are described, the apparatus comprising: —a separation chamber arranged to receive a flow of the feed material thereinto via an inlet; —a first outlet conduit, arranged in use to convey an exit flow of gaseous material which becomes separated from the feed material when in the chamber; and—a second outlet conduit, arranged in use to convey an exit flow of the remainder of the feed material following separation of the gaseous material; —a differential pressure measurement arrangement is associated with the first outlet conduit and is arranged to measure the difference between the pressures of the gaseous material inside the conduit at two spaced-apart locations along the conduit, to thereby enable a measurement of the flowrate of the gaseous material through the conduit.

  • Publication number: 20220301677
Abstract: Provided is a dynamic, customizable, and manage user interface that supports a coaching environment of a mobile application for caregivers. The dynamic user interface links respective applications of caregivers to care coaches, and dramatically changes the care environment, and enables full utilization of the care coaching support, tools, and information. A new technical architecture is provided that is configured to support caregivers by emulating the caregiver's device/applications executing on a caregiver's device to a respective coaching device monitored by a care coach. Through the dynamic user interface coaches can introduce new functionality into the emulation and trigger the introduction and/or execution of the new functionality on a targeted caregiver device via the care coach interface. The unique architecture enables dynamic changes to the features, displays, and/or functions available on caregiver systems, that occur in real time or based on communicating changes in a respective display/emulation.

  • Publication number: 20210235224
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for dynamically updating the floor plan of a retail store, and for associating retail transactions with particular mobile devices, based on detection and attribution of foot traffic within the store. A foot traffic attribution system detects mobile devices accessing a wireless network. The foot traffic attribution system uses information obtained from the mobile devices to determine foot traffic data, such as locations of mobile devices relative to item display areas, direction of travel of mobile devices, durations of time spent in various areas, and similar information. The foot traffic attribution system then attributes the foot traffic data to items on display and/or item display areas in the current floor plan, and determines an updated floor plan. The foot traffic attribution system may also access retail transaction data, and may use the foot traffic data to associate retail transactions with particular mobile devices.

  • Publication number: 20210127656
Abstract: An equine boot including a sole member having an interior for receiving a bottom of a hoof; and an upper for retaining the boot on the hoof, the upper having dorsal apertures such that when the boot is worn, bulbs of the hoof protrude through respective apertures. The apertures at least partially define a bulb-engaging element for engaging the peripheries of the bulbs so as to retain the bulbs in the apertures and impede rotation of the boot relative to the hoof.

  • Patent number: 8011451
Abstract: A method for forming two or more wellbores in a subsurface formation includes forming a first wellbore in the formation. A second wellbore is directionally drilled in a selected relationship relative to the first wellbore. At least one magnetic field is provided in the second wellbore using one or more magnets in the second wellbore located on a drilling string used to drill the second wellbore. At least one magnetic field is sensed in the first wellbore using at least two sensors in the first wellbore as the magnetic field passes by the at least two sensors while the second wellbore is being drilled. A position of the second wellbore is continuously assessed relative to the first wellbore using the sensed magnetic field. The direction of drilling of the second wellbore is adjusted so that the second wellbore remains in the selected relationship relative to the first wellbore.

  • Patent number: 7753141
Abstract: A drilling rig for drilling an underground borehole (5) into a seam (4) uses coiled metal tubing (8) fed by a tractor unit (11) from a drum (7) to provide a thrust force to a drilling head. The drilling head has a bent-sub assembly giving an angle of deviation which is controlled by rotating the coiled metal tubing in the borehole by way of rotation of the drum (7) in the frame (12) about the axis of the tube in the borehole (5).

  • Publication number: 20100146914
Abstract: A horse blanket (1) has an overlay (2) of traditional shape for a horse blanket and a set of protuberances (3) which stand proud of the lower surface of the overlay (2). The protuberances (3) are arranged substantially according to a rectangular grid that overlies only a portion of the underside of the overlay (2). Each protuberance (3) is approximately triangular in cross-section and has a base portion (11) that is fixed in any suitable manner to the overlay (2). The region (12) that would otherwise be the apex of the triangle is truncated and rounded. The protuberances (3) are made from gas-filled plastic so that each protuberance (3) is formed as a longitudinally extending, hollow body.

  • Patent number: 3951216
Abstract: Feed frame assembly for supporting and feeding drill head which rotates drill rod about axis. Assembly includes spaced front and rear end members, laterally spaced longitudinal members and first and second hydraulic feed cylinders. Longitudinal members and feed cylinders extend between end members and are parallel to rod axis. Piston rods of feed cylinders have double-acting pistons cooperating with cylinder bodies to feed head along the piston rods. Stabilizer cylinders in longitudinal members force bearing pads against rock face to counteract the drilling forces. Head mounting means secures rigidly one side of drill head to first cylinder body, and secures releasably with latch opposite side of head to second cylinder body. When latch is released drill head can swing outwards about first piston rod, and when engaged mutual actuation of feed cylinders moves drill head along rods. With head swung out, first cylinder is hydraulically locked to divert fluid to second cylinder.
