  • Publication number: 20250219962
Abstract: Distributed resource configuration, management, and control are provided through a frontend user interface, an application programming interface (API), and backend operations. Collections of configured and managed resources provide cloud services from a cloud environment to enterprise servers. A user provides resource definitions for resource types through the user interface. The backend operations translates the definitions into one or more low-level resource management API calls, which cause the resources to be configured, deployed, reserved/created, and controlled on one or more distributed devices. The configured resource of the distributed devices provide the cloud services to the enterprise servers. In an embodiment, a single user session via the user interface permits the user to deploy multiple instances of a resources within a corresponding environment.

  • Patent number: 7857624
Abstract: An apparatus for testing aspects of how a child learns includes a toy-like base having upstanding pegs. The child is encouraged to place donut shaped hand pieces onto the pegs. The hand pieces test the ability of the child to discriminate between different colors, and separately between different textures and different shapes and also tests the child's abilities in perception and creativity. The base also is able to test the child's ability to discern and copy tones and rhythms. Information of the child's performance is automatically collected within the apparatus and then compared with a normative baseline. Remediation focuses on activities related to the learning channels where the child is least astute and periodic retesting measures the ability of the child to improve in those channels to enable improvement of remediation approaches.

  • Publication number: 20070163256
Abstract: Apparatus, methods and an installation are provided for reducing pressure in a carrier line, such as a natural gas pipeline, and capturing the resultant waste energy. The apparatus is comprised of a flow converter for gaseous communication with a carrier line and an electricity generator mechanically linked to the flow converter for transforming the excess energy resulting from the pressure drop into electrical energy, such that in use, the energy released from the pressure drop can be captured and utilized for the production of gases such as hydrogen.

  • Patent number: 3936101
Abstract: The invention described includes a resilient support sleeve mounted on a tubular liner which is located within a tubular outer casing. The support sleeve includes a centre portion dimensioned to make a firm fit with the liner, and opposite end portions dimensioned to make a firm fit with the outer casing. The regions of the support sleeve between the centre and end portions are of reduced thickness thereby making the support sleeve distortable to accommodate slight angular misalignment and changes in dimension of the liner and outer casing.
