  • Patent number: 11103819
Abstract: This invention relates to the separation of particulate contaminants from a fluid. In one embodiment of the invention, two sand separators placed in series may be used to separate sand from liquid or gaseous natural gas. This invention has some of its applications in the oil gas industry, particularly for use in separating sand from gas produced by natural gas wells that have been opened by hydraulic fracturing.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 19, 2019
Date of Patent: August 31, 2021
    Assignee: SegreTECH Inc.

  • Patent number: 6905650
Abstract: A molded floor covering for a vehicle floor includes a thermoplastic polymer layer with an integral, threaded drain tube extending therefrom. The drain tube is configured such that a distal end thereof can extend through a drain hole in a vehicle floor when the floor covering is installed within a vehicle. The drain tube includes a threaded bore that is configured to receive a correspondingly-threaded drain plug therein. A method of producing a molded floor covering having an integrally formed, threaded drain tube includes providing a mold having a contour of a vehicle floor with an outwardly projecting threaded member. A layer of thermoplastic polymer is vacuum formed over the mold and around the threaded member such that the layer follows the contours of the mold and threaded member to form an elongate tube extending therefrom.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 5, 2001
Date of Patent: June 14, 2005
Assignee: Collins & Aikman Products Co.
Inventors: William Duncan McIntosh, Dayne Stuart Haight

  • Patent number: 6290279
Abstract: Floor drains are provided that can be inserted through floor coverings and through multiple floor panels of a vehicle body. An elongate hollow body terminates at an open distal end and at an open proximate end. A flange extends circumferentially around the open proximate end. One or more resilient members extend circumferentially around, and outwardly from, the body in adjacent spaced-apart relationship with the flange. The resilient members are configured to secure the floor drain within a vehicle floor panel such that the flange compressively engages the floor panel.
