  • Publication number: 20160202941
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of facilitating display of information to a user for use in planning transport routes involves causing at least one processor to: receive signals representing first transport information, produce signals for causing a display to display a representation of the first transport information, derive first derived information from the first transport information, receive user input signals defining changes to the first transport information, generate second transport information representing a second set of proposed second transport routes, produce signals for causing the display to display a representation of the second transport information, derive second derived information derived from the second transport information, and produce signals for causing the display to display a representation comparing the first derived information with the second derived information. A computer-implemented method of facilitating transport information generation for route planning is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8943741
Abstract: The invention provides a trap for capturing and/or killing a mouse, the trap comprising: an enclosure comprising a base connected to at least one movable part and which houses a trigger; the trigger comprising an adhesive section; wherein the at least one movable part is urged against the force of a biasing means from a first position wherein the trap is in a closed state into a second position in which the trap is in a set state; wherein the at least one movable part is maintained in the second position by releasably engaging the trigger; and wherein the trap is triggered upon the mouse contacting the adhesive section and elevating the trigger so as to disengage the trigger from the at least one movable part so that it moves from the second position to the first position under the force of the biasing means.

  • Patent number: 8773181
Abstract: The present invention provides a locked loop circuit in which the input clock signal is delayed according to a saw-tooth signal in order to output a range of frequencies not necessarily equal to an integer multiple of the input clock signal. The absolute value of the delay (i.e. the difference between the maximum and minimum values of the saw-tooth delay) can be calibrated by detecting the value of the circuit phase detector at the wrap point of the saw-tooth.

  • Patent number: 8570851
Abstract: A receiver for processing a signal in which data symbols are each represented by the energy at each of a plurality of carrier frequencies, the receiver comprising: an analogue to digital converter for periodically sampling the signal and generating a corresponding digital sample; a Fourier transform unit having a plurality of input bins for receiving samples generated by the analogue to digital converter and being arranged to, in dependence on the samples, generate outputs representing the energy in the signal during a sample period at each of a plurality of frequencies including the carrier frequencies; and a symbol estimator for estimating a symbol present in the signal during a sample period in dependence on the outputs of the Fourier transform unit; wherein the number of the input bins is greater than the total number of carrier frequencies and during each sample period the number of the outputs in dependence on which the symbol estimator performs symbol estimation is less than the number of input bins.

  • Publication number: 20130231380
Abstract: The invention relates to the systemic insecticide fipronil in conjunction with a rodenticide used for manufacture of a bait composition to provide a lethal effect on fleas and/or ticks and a host rodent, following ingestion of the bait composition by the host rodent. Preferred rodenticides are brodifacoum, difethialone, flocoumafen, bromadiolone and mixtures thereof. The invention also relates to rodenticidal bait compositions and to a method of killing ticks and a host rodent by providing for ingestion to the rodent, a bait composition comprising an effective amount of a rodenticide and an acaricidally effective amount of fipronil.

  • Patent number: 8397426
Abstract: Disclosed is a mousetrap having an enclosure with a rotatable top part having a downwardly extending strike plate within the enclosure, and a bottom part having an upwardly extending catch plate within the enclosure, an aperture in each of the top part and the bottom part which are in substantial alignment when the mousetrap is set, and a trigger mechanism, wherein the mousetrap is set to incapacitate or kill the mouse by the manual rotation of the top part relative to the bottom part when a mouse activates the trigger mechanism causing the top part to rotate relative to the bottom part and thereby incapacitating or killing the mouse between the strike plate and the catch plate.

A first embodiment of the dispensing device (100) includes a body (102) having a floor (104), walls (106) extending from the floor and a top (108) extending between the walls (106). A bait station (110) is located in the body (102). A locating spike (112) extends from the bait station (110) for engagement by a bait (114). A race (116) extends into the body (102) for permitting rodent access to the bait station (110). A door (118) is hingedly connected, about a hinge axis (118a) generally orthogonal to the floor (104), to the body (102). The door (118) is movable between a closed position, in which the door (118) covers the bait station (110), and an open position, for permitting user access to the bait station (110) for bait replenishment.
