  • Patent number: 11133938
Abstract: A device receives call information associated with a call from a first user device to a second user device, where the first user device is associated with a first network, and the second user device is associated with a second network separate from the first network. The call information includes a caller identification and is received via an originating network device of the first network. The device determines whether the caller identification is verified, and adds authentication information to the call information when the caller identification is verified. The device receives the call information and the authentication information from a terminating network device of the first network, and removes the authentication information from the call information. The device adds a cryptographic signature to the call information, and causes the call information and the cryptographic signature to be provided to the second network for routing to the second user device.

  • Patent number: 11132126
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to managing data in a file system that includes storage nodes and storage volumes in a cloud computing environment (CCE). A backup job may be executed to perform further actions, including: providing a backup identifier that is associated with the backup job; determining the storage nodes based on the file system and the CCE; disabling the file system by disabling the storage nodes, wherein each disabled storage node is associated with a shutdown timestamp; determining storage volumes associated with each disabled storage node; and generating storage images that archive a copy of information from the storage volumes; associating the storage images with the backup identifier; confirming that the file system is consistent based on an absence of file system activity occurring subsequent to each shutdown timestamp; and enabling the file system by enabling the storage nodes.

  • Publication number: 20210295306
Abstract: A method of operating a payment-enabled mobile device to gain access to a location or a service. In an embodiment, a contactless front-end (CLF) component of a payment-enabled mobile device sequentially detects short-distance radio signals comprising at least two different polling signals, determines based on the sequence of the at least two different polling signals, that the payment-enabled mobile device is in proximity to a non-retail contactless transaction terminal, and then a payment application running on the payment-enabled mobile device bypasses a customary user verification feature. The process also includes the payment-enabled mobile device running the payment application performing a transaction with the non-retail contactless transaction terminal without invoking the customary user verification feature and then gaining access to at least one of a location or service.

  • Publication number: 20210294081
Abstract: The technology provides a camera module cover that prevents infrared light from leaking into the lens of an adjacent camera. The camera module cover can be used with in-vehicle environments, such as the passenger area and truck, as well as other indoor locations and places where infrared illumination is co-located with an optical camera system. An infrared illuminator unit is positioned adjacent to the camera, for instance in such a way that infrared light is evenly distributed or diffused around the camera lens. The camera module cover has a surface that includes an infrared-transparent material to promote even distribution of the infrared light. To avoid leakage into the camera lens, an infrared-opaque or otherwise blocking material is disposed within the cover so as to be between the infrared illuminator unit and the camera lens. The infrared-transparent and infrared-blocking materials may be formed as a single part via double injection molding.

  • Patent number: 11128618
Abstract: A security system autonomously secures a modular data center (MDC) from a detected external threat by disabling access to physical communication ports. Sensor(s) are monitored that detects a presence of a person in an exterior or interior of a volumetric container of an MDC. Information technology (IT) component(s) are positioned within the volumetric container and include physical communication port(s) that receive a hot pluggable device containing memory. In response to determining that a detected person is not authenticated, a controller identifies any hot pluggable device that is currently engaged to a physical communication port of the MDC. The controller selectively disables access via the physical communication port(s) that is not engaged to a hot pluggable device. The controller enables continued access to the IT component(s) by any identified hot pluggable device that was engaged to a physical communication port before detecting the presence of the unauthenticated person.
