  • Publication number: 20170016394
Abstract: An engine trigger wheel is disclosed having a central annular portion and a cylindrical rim portion defining a number of trigger teeth, wherein the central annular and cylindrical rim portions are pressed from a single piece of metal. A number of balance apertures are formed in the central annular portion to move a center of mass of the trigger wheel away from an axis of rotation. The engine trigger wheel when fastened to one end of a crankshaft of an engine provides both an indication of the angular position of the crankshaft and a counterweight function.

  • Publication number: 20170015380
Abstract: An impact absorbing mechanism for a wheel is provided. The mechanism has discs that are engaged so that rotation of a first disc causes translational movement of a second disc. A restraining member such as a spring acts against translational movement of the second disc to absorb energy from a head on collision or aggressive braking. Once the mechanism is fully activated, teeth on the first and second discs engage to prevent kick back from the restraining member. In some embodiments, a ratchet mechanism is provided to prevent kick back from the restraining member even when the impact absorbing mechanism is not fully activated.

  • Publication number: 20170019494
Abstract: Various techniques of content virality determination and visualization are disclosed herein. For example, a method of determining network content virality metric includes constructing a diffusion cascade for a computer network content based on a plurality of time points at which individual users adopt the network content and connection information of the users. The method also includes calculating, with a processor, a virality metric of the network content based on a structural characteristic of the constructed diffusion cascade. Based on the calculated virality metric, one may determine if the network content is viral.

  • Patent number: 9545223
Abstract: Disclosed is a functional NIRS imaging system including an elastomeric cap, a set of transmit optical fibers and a set of receive optical fibers terminating on the inside surface of the elastomeric cap. A pair of light sources combines to produce a collimated light beam at two wavelengths. An optical modulation system, converts the light beam into a plurality of probe light beams, modulates the plurality of probe light beams and directs each probe light beam into a transmit fiber. An optical detection system accepts scattered photons from subcutaneous tissue underneath the elastomeric cap as a plurality of collected light beams and converts them into a time series of electronic images, stores the electronic images into the memory and processes the electronic images using. The system displays the resulting image on a display as a hemoglobin oxygen saturation map.

  • Patent number: 9549035
Abstract: Content items such as web pages can be updated through a client-driven process when the client detects that a target location reference in a source content item has been redirected to another (destination) location reference. Based on a target location reference in a source content item, a client can request a target content item from a target server and can receive a redirected destination target location reference. The client can update local information based on the redirection and/or report the redirect event to a source server that provided the source content item to the client. The source server can update the source content item based on the client's report.

  • Patent number: 9548739
Abstract: Disclosed is a cascode configuration that moves the gate of the cascode substantially without delay relative to an output node by capacitively coupling the latter onto the cascode gates. The passive coupling eliminates the need for actively driving the gates of the cascode. In some embodiments, the only circuitry needed on the cascode gate may be a biasing circuit that limits the swing on the cascode gate between Vmax and 2×Vmax, where Vmax is a transistor device rating.

  • Publication number: 20170010870
Abstract: In various embodiments, methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable media are disclosed that allow a desktop integration framework to optimize retrieval of custom string resources from resource bundles hosted by server computer systems. A client computer that uses a document as a user interface to a web-server application hosted by a server-computer system can determine which custom string resources are to be utilized in the document. The client computer system can request only the custom string resources that are determined to be utilized in the document from the server-computer system in a single request thereby optimizing retrieval without requesting entire resource bundles.
