  • Publication number: 20150264144
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to managing content over a network. Managed content may be provided to a client application. A widget controller may be arranged to determine locations that may be associated with a consumer based on information included in a consumer profile. The widget controller may enable the consumer to identify a hyper local region corresponding to the determined location that may be associated with the consumer. The widget controller may generate a request for content to a content delivery server based on the consumer's profile. Content corresponding to the request may be provided to the client application from the content delivery server. The widget controller may then deploy to the content to at least one widget. The widget controller may monitor the widgets to detect and track consumer actions with the widgets. The consumer actions may be communicated a content management server for further analysis.

  • Publication number: 20150261362
Abstract: An electronic device has a display and has a touch sensitive bezel surrounding the display. Areas on the bezel are designated for controls used to operate the electronic device. Visual guides corresponding to the controls are displayed on the display adjacent the areas of the bezel designated for the controls. Touch data is generated by the bezel when a user touches an area of the bezel. The device determines which of the controls has been selected based on which designated area is associated with the touch data from the bezel. The device then initiates the determined control. The device can have a sensor for determining the orientation of the device. Based on the orientation, the device can alter the areas designated on the bezel for the controls and can alter the location of the visual guides for the display so that they match the altered areas on the bezel.

  • Publication number: 20150262266
Abstract: Systems, device and techniques are disclosed for receiving content based on a subscription to channel by a user. An indication of a user subscription, by a user, may be received. The subscription may be for a channel associated with a channel manager for the channel. An indication of a content to be provided via the channel may be received from the channel manager for the channel. A determination may be made that the content value associated with the content is below an available user subscription value. The content may be automatically provided to the user, based on the determination and the content value may be deducted from the available subscription value.

  • Patent number: 9134380
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media are provided for enabling a reliable indication of the amount of time a battery will provide sufficient charge to power a computing device. One or more profiles of user activity on a computing device are created. A drain rate for each profile of user activity is determined and stored. An analysis of the user activities being engaged in on the computing device is conducted, and a profile of user activity is determined to describe the user activities. An amount of remaining charge stored in the battery is determined, and the period of time that the battery will provide sufficient charge to the computing device is determined based on the amount of remaining charge and on the drain rate at which charge is drained from the battery for the determined profile of user activity.

  • Patent number: 9130316
Abstract: A monitoring system for connector pins exposed to conductive/corrosive fluids and/or corrosive environments includes a first sensing portion having a pin monitoring section configured to measure a pin current flow of at least one conductor pin, and transfer a first signal. A second sensing portion produces a second signal indicating by a contactless determination the presence of a fastener providing physical connection between an interface member and a component. A decision logic device receives the first and second signals, compares the pin current flow to a predetermined range of values, and isolates electrical power to the conductor pin when the first signal indicates the pin current flow is outside the predetermined range of values. A sensor body created of a non-ferrous material and connected to the component includes a first insert member having the conductor pin and a second insert member defining a sensor sensing proximal presence of the fastener.
