  • Patent number: 10923726
Abstract: An artificial solid electrolyte interphase (ASEI) of an anode for a secondary battery includes a first film composed of amino-functionalized, reduced graphene oxide (rGO) that is amino-functionalized by binding with polyethyleneimine present in an amount of from 1 to 50% by weight, based on total weight of the amino-functionalized, reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and that is disposed in contact with an anode material to protect the anode material; and a second film comprised of amino-functionalized, multi-walled carbon nanotubes that is amino-functionalized by binding with polyethyleneimine and that is stacked on the first film. An anode of a secondary battery including the ASEI enables rapid diffusion and stable deposition of lithium to inhibit the formation of dendrites. In a secondary battery including the anode, the ASEI prevents side reactions between a lithium metal anode and the electrolyte, achieving good electrochemical stability and high Coulombic efficiency.

  • Patent number: 10658670
Abstract: An anode includes a thin film of an anode material; and a protective layer that is formed on the thin film of the anode material, that is composed of functionalized metal oxide nanoparticles, which are lithium-terminated sulfonated metal oxide nanoparticles, and that has a thickness of 300-5000 nm. A method for manufacturing the anode includes dispersing the functionalized metal oxide nanoparticles into a dispersion medium to form a dispersion; dipping a substrate into water, and introducing the dispersion thereto so that the functionalized metal oxide nanoparticles form a self-assembled molecular film on the water surface; lifting the substrate over the water surface to transfer the self-assembled molecular film onto the substrate, thereby providing a substrate coated with a functionalized metal oxide film; and transferring the functionalized metal oxide film onto the thin film of the anode material to provide an anode coated with the functionalized metal oxide film.

  • Publication number: 20190280304
Abstract: The artificial solid electrolyte interphase of an anode for a secondary battery including multi-walled carbon nanotubes to protect an underlying anode material in the form of a thin film. • Publication number: 20180241042
Abstract: Functionalized metal oxide nanoparticles which are lithium-terminated sulfonated metal oxide nanoparticles. According to the anode to which lithium-terminated sulfonated metal oxide nanoparticles are introduced as a protective layer, negatively charged sulfonate groups may cause electrostatic repulsion of lithium polysulfides and limit access of lithium polysulfides to a lithium metal anode while reducing the interfacial resistance by lithium fixed to sulfonate groups, inhibit growth of dendrites at a lithium metal anode and perforation of a separator, and the protective layer serves as an artificial solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer positioned on the surface of lithium metal and reducing the impedance to charge transfer reaction, thereby increasing the Coulomb efficiency of a lithium-sulfur battery. Thus, it is possible to improve the electrochemical characteristics, such as charge/discharge capacity, life and rate characteristics.

  • Patent number: 6772358
Abstract: In the field of systems for the synchronization of modular electronic circuits, a system is provided for the coordinated activation of the modules. This system includes synchronization cells that have their pace set by a primary clock signal and deliver secondary clock signals controlled intermittently by the enabling signals to respectively activate the modules. The cells lock the state of each enabling signal associated with a regulator for regulating the periodicity of the change in state of each secondary clock signal and coordinating the changes in states of the secondary clock signals with one another. The system can be advantageously applied to electronic circuits having very high frequency data processing modules, especially those providing for the multiplexing of the transmissions of data carried out by each module.

  • Patent number: 5859526
Abstract: A voltage reference generator includes a voltage source and a differential amplifier. The voltage source supplies a stable voltage reference to a positive input of the differential amplifier which is configured as a follower having its output looped back to its negative input. The negative feedback loop is a variable-resistance loop that is controlled by the output of the differential amplifier. The variable-resistance feedback loop transiently imposes open-loop operation when the voltage reference generator is turned on so as to provide high current to the output before imposing closed-loop operation in follower mode.
