  • Publication number: 20190104989
Abstract: A method of monitoring hydration including obtaining biological data for a given period of time, wherein the biological data includes measurements of one or more biological indicators; converting the biological data into a baseline value; obtaining real-time biological data from one or more biological sensors; performing a pre-processing analysis of the real-time biological data; comparing the real-time biological data with baseline value to create a hydration index.

  • Publication number: 20170319131
Abstract: Provided herein are methods and devices operable to monitor the hydration of a user. The wearable device for hydration monitoring includes an emitting component operable to emit light having at least three different wavelengths, a sensor operable to receive a reflected portion of the emitted light, and a processor operable to receive signals from the sensor. At least one of the wavelengths is in the range from 900 nm to 1600 nm for optical detection of a level of water. The method for hydration monitoring includes emitting light from a light emitting component operable to emit light having at least three different wavelengths and detecting light with at least one photodetector. At least three distances between the light emitting component and the photodetector are known and the at least three distances allow monitoring of at least two different tissue beds with at least two different tissue depths.

  • Publication number: 20170303788
Abstract: Device configured to non-invasively perform tissue monitoring. The device can include at least two light emitting components and at least one photodiode configured to receive reflected light generated from the at least two light emitting components. The at least one photodiode is spaced apart from the at least two light emitting components. The device can include an analog-to-digital converter component configured to generate a digitized detected light signal based on data received from the at least one photodiode. The device can further include a processor configured to execute instructions to process the digitized signals. The device can included an ambient light blocking component configured to surround the at least two light emitting components and the at least one photodiode to prevent external light from entering a region bounded by the ambient light blocking component. The device can also include at least one filter mounted over the at least one photodiode.
