  • Patent number: 12258782
Abstract: An exemplary lockset includes a mortise case, a magnet assembly mounted in the mortise case, and a manual actuator operable to move the magnet assembly between a coupling position in which a first magnet of the magnet assembly is aligned with a reference point and a decoupling position in which the first magnet is misaligned with the reference point. In certain embodiments, the magnet assembly further includes a second magnet having an opposite polarity as the first magnet, and the second magnet is misaligned with the reference point when the magnet assembly is in the coupling position and is aligned with the reference point when the magnet assembly is in the decoupling position.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 11, 2023
Date of Patent: March 25, 2025
    Assignee: Schlage Lock Company LLC

  • Publication number: 20220136303
Abstract: An exemplary closure assembly includes a rail assembly and a door assembly movably mounted to the rail assembly. The door assembly includes a rotary damper having a pinion, and the rail assembly includes a rack member operable to engage the pinion. As the door moves from first position to a second position, the rack member engages the pinion, thereby causing the pinion to rotate in a first rotational direction. The rotary damper resists rotation of the pinion in the first direction, thereby slowing movement of the door toward the second position. The rotary damper may be a one-way damper that does not resist rotation of the pinion in a second rotational direction such that the rotary damper does not resist movement of the door from the second position toward the first position.

  • Patent number: 9045900
Abstract: Structurally-glazed curtain wall or store front wall systems can include fire-rated glazing units coupled together by a framing system. The framing system include a plurality of uninsulated vertical mullions with a roll-formed steel profile. The roll-formed steel profile can form a first wall portion and two projecting wall portions that extend from the first wall portion in a generally perpendicular manner.
