  • Publication number: 20130159329
Abstract: The present design is a knowledge management system including a mapping engine configured to receive survey responses for a survey campaign completed by a survey participant and a set of mapping rules containing rules configured to map the survey responses to a set of knowledge resources specific to the activities, interactions and behaviors of a survey participant based upon the survey responses. The knowledge resources include information helpful to the survey participant to carry out a job related expected behavior or duty of the survey participant. The mapping engine is further configured to receive information about the activities and interactions of a survey participant, survey campaign, and knowledge resources that may be stored on a database, and transmit information about the set of knowledge resources to a designated entity, such as the survey participant or a system administrator.

  • Patent number: 5611048
Abstract: A remote password administration facility operating on the network is divided in client and server programs and provides coordination between a mainframe and a network security system. A password update message is generated by the client program and transmitted across the network to a server system which acts as a gateway server to the mainframe. The password is updated at the server system in the network security system. The gateway server is coupled to a mainframe system via an emulator session. The server scans the logon profile database to determine whether the user id is authorized to access the mainframe. If so, the password update message is sent to the second security system resident in the mainframe. The server program cooperates with the emulator program to send the password update message to the mainframe security system and determine whether the password was successfully updated.

  • Patent number: 5179660
Abstract: A system suitable for use on a computer network provides a user interface on a local node and an application to be run on a remote node. An application for accepting input from the user and translating it to appropriate commands for the remote application is divided, and located partially on the local node and partially on the remote node. That portion located on the local node gathers any information required from the user and transmits it to the portion located on the remote node in an efficient manner. The remote location portion uses the transmitted information to interface with the remote application and obtain results. The results are collected and transmitted to the local portion, from which they are returned to the user.
