    Abstract: Commutator apparatus for electric motors includes electrical conductors making electrical contact with brushes through substantially three hundred sixty degrees of rotation of the commutator to provide current paths during time periods of current flow to prevent arcing. The commutator apparatus further includes cylindrical portions and blade portions which overlap and on which brushes are positioned to make the electrical contacts.
