  • Patent number: 6439396
Abstract: A system for removal of water from a hydrocarbon fluid in a tank having a weight support body structured to hold a filter therein. The filter includes a super-absorbent hydrophilic, oleophobic substance bound with a medium. The support body structure is a porous ball. A line is connected to the support body structure so as to extend outwardly of the opening of the tank. A handle is attached to an end of the line opposite the support body structure.

  • Patent number: 6357602
Abstract: A system for removal of water from a hydrocarbon fluid flowing through a conduit having a support body structured to hold a filter within the conduit. The filter includes a super-absorbent, hydrophilic, oleophilic substance bound with a medium. The support body is attachable to a tank opening. The support body has a longitudinal part with an adjustable length so as to extend toward a bottom of the tank. The support body is telescopic with perforations formed thereon so as to allow hydrocarbon fluid to encounter the filter.
