The receiver is capable of receiving the signal from the transmitter. The enabler/disabler is at least partially enabling the firearm such that the firearm is available for shooting upon receipt of the controlling communication from the receiver, the receiver transmitting the controlling communication in response to the receipt of the signal from the transmitter.
