  • Patent number: 11183026
Abstract: The gaming system of the present disclosure provides a Class II bingo game with a corresponding Class III game outcome presentation. For a play of the Class II bingo game and for a player, the gaming system simulates the game play and appearance of a traditional Class III game by displaying a Class III game outcome presentation associated with the outcome of the bingo card. If the matched spots on the player's bingo card form one of multiple winning patterns, the gaming system displays one of multiple winning Class III game outcome presentations. If the matched spots on the bingo card almost form one of the winning patterns without forming any of the winning patterns, the gaming system displays an anticipatory losing Class III game outcome presentation that almost forms one of the winning Class III game outcome presentations without forming any of the winning Class III game outcome presentations.

  • Patent number: 8267764
Abstract: A gaming system for playing a wagering game includes a wager input device configured to receive a wager to play the wagering game, at least one display configured to display the wagering game and at least one controller operatively configured to verify receipt of a wager and an extra wager, randomly generate an outcome of the wagering game, randomly generate an award modifier, determine if the outcome is a winning outcome, determine an award associated with the outcome if the outcome is a winning outcome, modify the award via the award modifier to yield a modified award, award the modified award to the player, and, separately, store the modified award in a stored award field accessible through a secondary game.

  • Patent number: 7636482
Abstract: One embodiment disclosed relates to a method for encoding and decoding a video sequence in which a keyframe is used to bi-directionally predict frames in the sequence. The keyframe is coded independently of other frames in the sequence. Both a prior frame occurring before the keyframe and a subsequent frame occurring after the keyframe are predicted using data from the keyframe. Another embodiment disclosed relates to a method for allocating bits to a keyframe during video encoding. Effects of a plurality of keyframe bit allocations on quality of a predicted frame are measured. Said effects are used to determine a near optimal keyframe bit allocation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 24, 2008
Date of Patent: December 22, 2009
