Abstract: A system for controlling notification outputs at a head-wearable device that is in communication with one or more peripherals. The system is configured to receive a request to provide a notification, and in response to receiving the request to provide the notification: in accordance with a determination that the head wearable device and one of the one or more peripheral devices are in a first state based on first data from one or more sensors of the system, presenting a notification in a first manner that corresponds to the request to provide the notification, and in accordance with a determination that the head wearable device and one of the one or more peripheral devices are in a second state based on second data from the one or more sensors of the system, presenting a notification in a second manner that corresponds to the request to provide the notification.

Abstract: An effect stack for an abstracted text modification system and methods thereof. Instead of modifying text in-place, the effect stack maintains effects in a saved stack separately from the source text, allowing text to flow without modifying the ground truth until desired. This effect stack allows for effects to be applied and updated/edited after the fact for a powerful interface.
