  • Publication number: 20250233650
Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are described herein for adapting mobility under discontinuous coverage (e.g., associated with gap(s) in coverage). In examples, a WTRU may determine the start and duration of discontinuous coverage. Discontinuous coverage may be explicitly indicated in SI (e.g., start UTC 10:00+90 s). The determination of the start and duration of discontinuous coverage may be implicitly determined via assistance information broadcasted in a SI cell stop time and a neighboring cell start time. The start and duration of discontinuous coverage may be calculated via location information (e.g., the distance between the WTRU and serving/neighboring cell center and the diameter of cell coverage). The WTRU may report it is about to enter a coverage gap at some configured offset from time (e.g., via a timer) of the coverage gap.

  • Publication number: 20250226922
Abstract: Procedures, methods, architectures, apparatuses, systems, devices, and computer program products directed to control throughput performance. In an embodiment, a method, implemented in a WTRU, for controlling throughput, comprises: determining a first mode of transmission of a first packet of data: transmitting, to a network (NW) element, the packet data based on the first mode of transmission; determining a second mode of transmission of a second packet of data based on the type of the second packet of data, wherein the second mode of transmission differs from the first mode of transmission.

  • Publication number: 20250159636
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for use in wireless communication are disclosed. A method performed by a wireless transmit/receive (WTRU) unit may compromise: receiving information indicating a first tracking area code (TAC) and first TAC validity time information; registering with a network using the first TAC; receiving information indicating a second TAC and second TAC validity time information; determining, based on the first TAC validity time information and the second TAC validity time information, a time period wherein both the first TAC and second TAC are valid; selecting a time within the time period; and transmitting, at the selected time, a connection request.

  • Publication number: 20250151011
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems for determining and communicating positioning information in a wireless communication network are provided. For example, a method implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) includes receiving information indicating a set of position reference signal (PRS) configurations and cluster information. Each PRS configuration is associated with a respective cluster and respective cluster information. The method also includes determining a first location of the WTRU using a first PRS configuration, selecting a cluster that encompasses the first location and is associated with a second PRS configuration, determining a second location of the WTRU based on the second PRS configuration, and transmitting second information indicating the second location of the WTRU and respective cluster information of the selected cluster.

  • Patent number: 12284045
Abstract: A WTRU is configured to receive information to transmit uplink data indicating a first number of nominal repetitions and a first number of symbols for transmission in each of the first number of nominal repetitions. The WTRU is configured to determine a set of symbols associated with a first nominal repetition of the first number of nominal repetitions and is configured to transmit, based on the set of symbols associated with the first nominal repetition, a second number of actual repetitions in symbols associated with the first nominal repetition. The second number of actual repetitions and the symbols used to transmit the second number of actual repetitions are based on an occurrence of an event during the set of symbols associated with the first nominal repetition. The second number of actual repetitions is determined based on whether the event is a COT and the COT is initiated by the WTRU.

  • Publication number: 20250126535
Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may comprise a processor. The processor may be configured to receive (e.g., via broadcast) configuration information indicating a time that a same-PCI satellite switch may occur. In one or more examples, the WTRU may transmit assistance information prior to the same-PCI satellite switch. The assistance information may, for example, include a re-synchronization duration, capabilities to synchronization procedures, and/or a time indication for resuming TX and/or RX. The WTRU may receive configuration information for satellite re-synchronization. The WTRU may perform the same-PCI satellite switch to the second satellite, for example, based on the configuration information indicating the time for the same-PCI satellite switch. In performing the same-PCI satellite switch, the WTRU may start a resynchronization gap, suspend UL TX and/or DL RX, and/or perform re-synchronization procedure(s).

  • Publication number: 20250113222
Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may determine a first set of beams and a second set of beams, that a respective quality of each beam in the first set of beams is less than a predetermined quality value, and that a beam that is in the second set of beams and not in the first set of beams has a quality that is equal to or greater than the predetermined quality value. The WTRU may select the beam that is in the second set of beams and not in the first set of beams and whose quality is equal to or greater than the predetermined quality value, for a BFR and send a message that indicates the selected beam for the BFR to a base station (e.g., a gNodeB). The WTRU may receive a message comprising the selected beam from the gNodeB.

  • Publication number: 20240420578
Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, and instrumentalities are described herein relate to partial or delta updated flight path reporting. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may transmit a first message indicating flight path information is available. The WTRU may receive a second message including a flight path reporting configuration. The flight path reporting configuration may request the flight path information. The WTRU may transmit an initial flight path message within a third message. Based on information associated with changing from a previous flight path to an updated flight path, the WTRU may detect that a previous flight path is required to be updated with an updated flight path. The WTRU may transmit an indication that the updated flight path is available. The WTRU may receive a request for and subsequently transmit partial or delta updated flight path information.

  • Publication number: 20240349160
Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, and instrumentalities are described herein related to conditional triggers for flight path update indications. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive configuration information. The configuration information may indicate a trigger condition (e.g., threshold) associated with enabling transmission of a flight path update indication. The WTRU may determine that the threshold associated with enabling transmission of the flight path update indication is satisfied. Based on the threshold being satisfied, the flight path update indication may be transmitted. The WTRU may receive a request to transmit the updated flight path information and transmit the updated flight path information.

  • Publication number: 20240349215
Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are described herein for performing propagation delay compensation. For example, a Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit (WTRU) may be configured with the resources and signals to perform a Propagation Delay (RD) procedure, or a Propagation Delay Information Exchange (PDIE), or a Propagation Delay Compensation (PDC). The WTRU may receive configuration that may identify a reference signal (RS) pair for a path. The WTRU may determine that a trigger condition is satisfied for a path. The trigger condition being satisfied may trigger the WTRU to perform a PDIE. The WTRU may determine a propagation delay (RD) for a path. If the determined RD meets a threshold for the path, the WTRU may apply a PDC to an uplink (UL) transmission that uses the path.
