  • Publication number: 20230392752
Abstract: A method of operating a cryo-compressed storage system is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of cryogenic tanks adapted to store a supply of hydrogen. The method includes dividing the hydrogen into a plurality of portions, storing each of the portions in respective first and second cryogenic tanks of the plurality of cryogenic tanks; withdrawing at least part of a first portion of the plurality of portions from the first cryogenic tank; responsive to the first cryogenic tank containing a remainder of the first portion, such that the first respective cryogenic tank is at least partially depleted, withdrawing a first amount of hydrogen of the second portion from the second cryogenic tank; heating, via a heater external to the plurality of cryogenic tanks, the first amount of hydrogen; and providing the first amount of hydrogen to the first cryogenic tank such that the first amount of hydrogen heats the remainder.

  • Patent number: 11311856
Abstract: A permanently porous vanadium(II)-containing metal-organic framework (MOF) with vanadium(II) centers and methods for synthesis of such MOF frameworks are provided. Methods for using such compounds to selectively react with N2 over CH4 are provided. In the synthetic methods, a vanadium source, such as VY2(tmeda)2, where Y is a halogen and tmeda is N,N,N?,N?-tetramethylethane-1,2-diamine and a H2(ligand) are reacted in the presence of acid in a solvent at between 110° C. and 130° C. to form an intermediate product. The intermediate product is collected and washed with a washing agent, such as DMF and acetonitrile, and the vanadium(II) based MOF is activated by heating the washed intermediate product to at least 160° C. under dynamic vacuum.

  • Patent number: 6089751
Abstract: A temperature sensor for the liquid crystal portion of a liquid crystal display assembly which includes a thin layer of transparent conductive material which is spread across the viewing area of the display. This layer of transparent conductive material can provide heat to warm up the display when a large voltage is put across it, and can also be used to measure liquid crystal temperature. It is known that the resistance of materials such as indium tin oxide (ITO) changes at a known rate with respect to temperature. By using this transparent layer of material in the stacked elements of a liquid crystal display assembly, an accurate reading of the liquid crystal temperature can be made.
