Patent number: 9311955Abstract: Methods for adhering parts together using part gap spacers are provided herein. Part gap spacers are formed in a selected pattern and a selected height on a surface of at least one surface of two parts to be oppositely disposed. When disposed opposite each other, at least some of the part gap spacers contact the opposite surface, and establish a standoff distance that is generally uniform, and thereby creating voids. Adhesive is disposed in at least some of the voids to adhere the part surfaces to each other. Further methods comprise forming part gap spacers on multiple sides of a third part to be disposed intermediate two surfaces. The part gap spacers can be formed in a variety of shapes, including bumps, tapers, ribs, and flange edges.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 2014Date of Patent: April 12, 2016Assignee: Seagate Technology LLCInventors: Paco Flores, Anthony J. Patent number: 9302142Abstract: A weight training barbell system provides modifiable barbells that facilitate the attachment of plate weights, various elastic straps, inelastic bands, handles, grips, and connectors, in a compact space saving design. The weight training barbell system incorporates various features that allow it to perform specialized exercises that provide same or greater intensity from a workout using lower weights. The weight training barbell system accomplishes this through the use of specialized components that permit a user to redistribute weight along the length of the bar and components that add resistance, in more than one direction, while lifting the bar. The weight training barbell system can be utilized to perform compression lifting exercises, offset lifting exercises, and self spotting exercises.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2014Date of Patent: April 5, 2016Inventors: Raymond E Berry, Michael D Prindle

Publication number: 20140343726Abstract: A machine is used for selling precious metals. The precious metals include gold, silver and the like. The precious metals could be either in a form of bullion coin or a bullion coin embedded into a plastic card for the purpose of protection. The machine contains a shell, a frame, a payment validation system, a display panel, a selection panel, a storage system, a dispensing system, a controller, a stock checking system and a security system. The machine is capable of selling gold and silver bullion coins at selling prices that are directly linked to the real time gold and silver prices traded on the commodity market. Such prices can be remotely updated via a wired or wireless connection. The security system protects the machine and functions as deterrence to potential robbers.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2014Publication date: November 20, 2014Inventors: Raymond E. Patent number: 8671548Abstract: Providing a greeting card display fixture having multiple rows, one or more of which are convertible rows to allow for adjustment of the number of rows in a display. When desired, the convertible row may be used to display another row of greeting cards, increasing the density of the overall display. When not desired, the convertible row may be pushed flush against the back of the display fixture, while still attached, allowing the full depth of the row of the display fixture to be used. A divider or support clip is used to support the convertible row when in use and to hold it in a storage position when not used. The divider clip also separates greeting cards within a row. The divider clip includes a clipping mechanism to attach the divider clip to the display fixture and an adjustable portion to support an adjacent convertible row.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2012Date of Patent: March 18, 2014Assignee: Hallmark Cards, IncorporatedInventors: Todd E. Publication number: 20140057615Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention allows a telecommunications provider to embed activation and configuration logic into SIM cards that consumers install in their wireless devices. The activation and configuration logic on a SIM card ensures that a wireless device is activated and properly configured to operate on a network. In some embodiments, the configuration logic on the SIM card also ensures that the wireless device is properly configured with backed up personal data and provisioned with services that a consumer had previously or is subscribed to. Typically, the wireless device is able to self-activate and self-configure when the SIM card is installed the wireless device.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 21, 2012Publication date: February 27, 2014Applicant: SYNCHRONOSS TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: David E. Publication number: 20140059296Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a storage technology agnostic system for persisting software instantiated objects. The system provides an ability for software systems to use one persistence logic tool for disparate storage systems, such as MySQL databases and NoSQL databases, to store the software instantiated objects. These different storage systems can be utilized from within the same software system. The software instantiated objects from the software system are mapped to one or more storage systems via the persistence logic tool, which is configured as a single interface for all the storage systems.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 27, 2012Publication date: February 27, 2014Applicant: SYNCHRONOSS TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: David E. Patent number: 8587331Abstract: Devices under test (DUTs) can be tested in a test system that includes an aligner and test cells. A DUT can be moved into and clamped in an aligned position on a carrier in the aligner. In the align position, electrically conductive terminals of the DUT can be in a predetermined position with respect to carrier alignment features of the carrier. The DUT/carrier combination can then be moved from the aligner into one of the test cells, where alignment features of the carrier are mechanically coupled with alignment features of a contactor in the test cell. The mechanical coupling automatically aligns terminals of the DUT with probes of the contactor. The probes thus contact and make electrical connections with the terminals of the DUT. The DUT is then tested. The aligner and each of the test cells can be separate and independent devices so that a DUT can be aligned in the aligner while other DUTs, having previously been aligned to a carrier in the aligner, are tested in a test cell.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2010Date of Patent: November 19, 2013Inventors: Tommie E. Patent number: 8385555Abstract: A content delivery network and method employing a Downloadable Conditional Access System (“DCAS”) includes first and second personalization servers. A unit key list having unique keys is segmented into different blocks. Each block is encrypted with a separate transmission key corresponding to that block such that first and second blocks are respectively encrypted with first and second transmission keys. The encrypted blocks are communicated to the personalization servers. The first transmission key is communicated to the first personalization server without being communicated to another personalization server such that the first server can decrypt the first block using the first transmission key to access the keys of the first block. The second transmission key is communicated to the second personalization server without being communicated to another personalization server such that the second server can decrypt the second block using the second transmission key to access the keys of the second block.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2008Date of Patent: February 26, 2013Assignee: Combined Conditional Access Development and Support, LLC.Inventors: Lawrence W.
