  • Publication number: 20240151489
Abstract: An archery bow is provided including opposing limbs and a riser. The riser can include a riser handle and one or more primary riser elongated elements extending away from the handle to respective limbs. The primary riser elongated elements can be straight, elongated round or other shaped tubes, rods or bars constructed optionally from a composite or other material. Vents can be included in ports of the riser to facilitate escape of air when riser elongated elements are installed in those ports. The riser can include one or more connector lugs disposed between tube portions to facilitate attachment of accessories to the elongated elements. The elongated elements can be bonded, adhered or otherwise fixed to the riser handle, struts, lugs and/or limb pockets, which can be constructed from a metal such as aluminum, titanium or an alloy, and which can handle significant moments and forces transferred via the elongated elements.

  • Publication number: 20080060985
Abstract: A filter assembly including a continuous resilient cylindrical helical filter coil having flat top and bottom surfaces with each coil including a regular sinusoidal shape having multiple peaks and troughs with the flat top and bottom surfaces of adjacent coils in contact and a drive engaging the helical coil moving adjacent coils relative to each other to modify the volume of the loop-shaped filter pores and control the pore size. In one embodiment, the drive rotates a coil relative to the remaining coils to bring the sinusoidal waves of adjacent coils into and out of registry to decrease or increase the size of the filter pores. In another embodiment, the drive compresses the filter coil to change the size of the filter pores.

  • Publication number: 20050023208
Abstract: A filter assembly and a method of filtering a fluid using the filter assembly are disclosed. The filter assembly includes wave coils arranged axially to define a filter element. The filter element includes bottom and top ends and an inner cavity. The filter assembly also includes a base plate that engages one, or both, ends to support the wave coils. The fluid flows toward the base plate, and the base plate diverts the fluid inside or outside the inner cavity. The wave coils include crests and troughs. engaging one another on adjacent wave coils to define filtration apertures. The diverted fluid is filtered through the filtration apertures such that a filtrate of the fluid passes through the inside or outside of the inner cavity, and a retentate of the fluid is retained on the other of the inside or outside of the inner cavity relative to the filtrate.

  • Patent number: 4023695
Abstract: A warehouse system and method for stacking, storing and retrieving material includes a cab stacker, preferably a twin-cab stacker, that can be mounted on the mast of a stacker crane or sideloader. The twin cab functions as a mobile work-station which can retrieve materials from a storage area, cut them to order, bundle them, and place them directly on a conveyor system for packing and ultimate shipment. The twin cab includes a plurality of forks mounted on a carriage which is connected to a telescoping mast on the cab. The forks can be employed as a lift or support for materials removed from cantilever or pigeon-hole racks. Automatic stops align the cab with a selected rack. The cab also may support a ledge-fence on which elongated materials can be placed for cutting by a swing-arm mounted, cutting wheel which is controlled by an automatic feed mechanism. Tape dispensers in the cab provide tape for bundling the cut materials. Sheet and elongated materials are transferred directly from the forks to conveyors.

  • Patent number: 3955073
Abstract: A method and system for using caliper-type dimensional sensing devices of the present invention that utilize sensors to interpret linear dimensional values of objects being measured and electric circuit control switches to transmit such values to an interfacing standard electronic printing calculator of known design for mensuration or other data processing and label printout of such values at the calculator. The electrical control circuits of each dimensional sensing device are wired in parallel with the keyboard of the printing calculator thus allowing the sensing device to function as a remote keyboard of the calculator, or alternately, of a programmable electronic calculator or computer with associated printout and/or other data processing or output devices.
