  • Publication number: 20040141586
Abstract: The present invention discloses an integral anatomical and functional computed tomography imaging system, which includes an x-ray source, a rotational stand for a sample and an imager. The imager includes an x-ray and a gamma-ray scintillator, an image sensor for detecting photon from the scintillator and a pinhole collimator positioned between the rotational stand and the scintillator. During the anatomical imaging process, the x-ray penetrating through the sample will directly irradiate on the scintillator in x-ray mode. During the functional imaging process, the gamma-ray emitted from the radioisotope-injected sample will penetrate through the pinhole of the pinhole collimator and then irradiate on the scintillator in gamma-ray mode. For both cases, photons are generated by the scintillator and picked up by the image sensor.

  • Publication number: 20030018257
Abstract: A body fat thickness measurement apparatus. The apparatus comprises a transducer, an output control circuit, and a signal control device. The transducer outputs ultrasound waves with a frequency above 10 MHz and receives the ultrasound reflected back by the subject. The transducer then converts the reflected ultrasound to an analog signal. The output control circuit outputs a high voltage pulse depending on a predetermined time period or a position of the transducer. The signal control device receives the analog signal and converts it to a digital signal. A processor converts the digital signal into a video signal to be displayed on a monitor.

  • Patent number: 6468214
Abstract: The present invention discloses an apparatus for human interfaces of an ultrasonic diagnostic system based on a personal computer. The apparatus can be applied in the input end and output end of the system. Only the normal keyboard of a personal computer is needed for the present invention, instead of further designing a customized control interface used in prior art. Besides, a digital display controller is used to control output signals of a scanner, which are stored in a video memory. The output frequency of the digital display controller is the same with that of the personal computer. Therefore, a lot of unnecessary transformations between different video signal formats seen usually in prior art can be avoided. Besides, system complexity and manufacturing cost will be reduced, and the power consumption will be also saved.

  • Patent number: 5363933
Abstract: A protecting, diversified and/or better operable automated carrier is provided. The carrier includes a carrying body mounting thereon a driving device electrically connected to a controller electrically connected to a commanding device for controlling the moving speed and direction of the carrying body, a CPU electrically connected between the controller and the commanding device, and a protecting device electrically connected to the CPU and capable of resulting in a desired response when the carrying body is within a predetermined distance from an obstacle.
