Patent number: 11964313Abstract: A nozzle for water jet equipment and a method of use thereof. The nozzle has a body including a base with a shaft extending outwardly therefrom. The shaft is inserted through a bore of a sleeve that rotatable about the shaft. The base and shaft define a bore therein. At least one opening is defined in the shaft and one or more grooves are milled into the shaft's exterior surface. Each opening places the body's bore in fluid communication with one of the grooves and the sleeve's bore. Water flowing through the body's bore will flow through each opening, into the associated groove and into a space between the shaft and sleeve. The shaft terminates in a conical section usable as a battering ram to break up blockages in pipes during cleaning operations.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2021Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: STONEAGE, INC.Inventors: Terry D. Publication number: 20240103632Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology relate to providing gesture-based control of electronic devices. Providing gesture-based control may include determining, with a machine learning system that includes multiple machine learning models, a prediction of one or more gestures and their corresponding probabilities of being performed. A likelihood of the user's intent to actually perform that gesture may then be generated, based on the prediction and a gesture detection factor. The likelihood may be dynamically updated over time, and a visual, auditory, and/or haptic indicator of the likelihood may be provided as user feedback. The visual, auditory, and/or haptic indicator may be helpful to guide the user to the correct gesture if the gesture is intended, or to stop performing an action similar to the gesture if the gesture is not intended.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 18, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Matthias R. Publication number: 20240094889Abstract: Computerized systems and methods are provided for automatically generating an application overflow tool that is dynamically updated and arranged to provide improved access to popular or recently used applications. These systems and methods improve existing technologies by generating an overflow panel different from a task bar, such that the overflow panel provides access to most recently used applications that are not on the task bar. As such, ease of access to applications is improved to increase user efficiency. These systems also improve the way computers operate by leveraging existing GUI layouts to reduce computing resource consumption, such as memory, network latency, I/O, and the like, that would otherwise be required improve access to applications.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 29, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Charles Edward TAYLOR, Jr., Peter E. Patent number: 11934215Abstract: A system and method for cleaning of heat exchanger tubes including an assembly, an indexer, and a communication device provided with specialized software and programming. The indexer includes orthogonally arranged first and second arms. A trolley and sensors are provided on the indexer arms. One or more lances are provided on the trolley to deliver water jets into the openings. Sensors measure displacement as the trolley is moved relative to the heat exchanger's face plate. An operator controls the system from a distance away using the communication device. Publication number: 20240085653Abstract: A holder of an optical fiber (a fiber-optic element) structured to house and secure the surgical optical fiber within the holder to prevent a possibility of the fiber to move at least axially and/or rotate about the axis while, at the same time, avoiding microbending of the surgical optical fiber (which such holder is configured to house) to prevent fiber burning during use of the surgical fiber with high-power laser sources. The holder is optionally and preferably configured as a controller of spatial orientation of the fiber output portion (which output portion remains invisible to the user during the application) that ensures that the output optical power is delivered from the termination of the optical fiber in the intended direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 1, 2023Publication date: March 14, 2024Applicant: Cyclone Biosciences, LLCInventor: Stephen E. Patent number: 11911101Abstract: Optical fibers used to deliver laser energy inside the body are often twisted and bent when passed through tortuous routes in accessing the target tissue or pathology, e.g. during the ureteroscopic laser lithotripsy. When an irregular laser output that is produced at the start of the lasing process is channeled through a fiber that is bent at or near the bend limit, fail safe polymer claddings are damaged and can no longer contain even regular laser output in tight deflection. A common resulting fiber failure, known as ‘fiber burn through’, results in injuries to patients and is a major cause of damage to ureteroscopes. Discussed are the systems and methodologies providing a solution to such premature fiber failure.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2022Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: CYCLONE BIOSCIENCES, LLCInventors: Stephen E. Publication number: 20240036720Abstract: In part, the disclosure relates to intravascular data collection systems and the software-based visualization and display of intravascular data relating to detected side branches and side branch obstruction. An estimate of side branch diameter can be made based on a vessel profile or a maximum diameter of a vessel at a distal and proximal location relative to the side branch. A amount of side branch obstruction may be determined by comparing an observed side branch diameter with in the image data with the estimated side branch diameter. In addition, an amount of blood flow obstruction may also be determined.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 15, 2023Publication date: February 1, 2024Applicant: LightLab Imaging, Inc.Inventors: Ajay Gopinath, Denis Dion, Christopher E.
