  • Patent number: 11964313
Abstract: A nozzle for water jet equipment and a method of use thereof. The nozzle has a body including a base with a shaft extending outwardly therefrom. The shaft is inserted through a bore of a sleeve that rotatable about the shaft. The base and shaft define a bore therein. At least one opening is defined in the shaft and one or more grooves are milled into the shaft's exterior surface. Each opening places the body's bore in fluid communication with one of the grooves and the sleeve's bore. Water flowing through the body's bore will flow through each opening, into the associated groove and into a space between the shaft and sleeve. The shaft terminates in a conical section usable as a battering ram to break up blockages in pipes during cleaning operations.

  • Publication number: 20240103632
Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology relate to providing gesture-based control of electronic devices. Providing gesture-based control may include determining, with a machine learning system that includes multiple machine learning models, a prediction of one or more gestures and their corresponding probabilities of being performed. A likelihood of the user's intent to actually perform that gesture may then be generated, based on the prediction and a gesture detection factor. The likelihood may be dynamically updated over time, and a visual, auditory, and/or haptic indicator of the likelihood may be provided as user feedback. The visual, auditory, and/or haptic indicator may be helpful to guide the user to the correct gesture if the gesture is intended, or to stop performing an action similar to the gesture if the gesture is not intended.

  • Publication number: 20240094889
Abstract: Computerized systems and methods are provided for automatically generating an application overflow tool that is dynamically updated and arranged to provide improved access to popular or recently used applications. These systems and methods improve existing technologies by generating an overflow panel different from a task bar, such that the overflow panel provides access to most recently used applications that are not on the task bar. As such, ease of access to applications is improved to increase user efficiency. These systems also improve the way computers operate by leveraging existing GUI layouts to reduce computing resource consumption, such as memory, network latency, I/O, and the like, that would otherwise be required improve access to applications.

Abstract: A system and method for cleaning of heat exchanger tubes including an assembly, an indexer, and a communication device provided with specialized software and programming. The indexer includes orthogonally arranged first and second arms. A trolley and sensors are provided on the indexer arms. One or more lances are provided on the trolley to deliver water jets into the openings. Sensors measure displacement as the trolley is moved relative to the heat exchanger's face plate. An operator controls the system from a distance away using the communication device. During setup, the pattern of the face plate is learned and mapped utilizing information from the sensors as one of the inputs. • Publication number: 20240081909
Abstract: A tubular optically-transparent device structured as a terminating cap for an optical fiber is configured to deliver laser radiation from the optical fiber substantially radially (generally—transversely to the axis of the cap) while at the same time spatially-redistributing the radiant intensity at a point of interaction of laser radiation with a wall of the cap to reduce material damage of the material of the cap thereby reducing tissue adhesion during surgery performed with the use of the device including such optical fiber and cap. • Publication number: 20240085653
Abstract: A holder of an optical fiber (a fiber-optic element) structured to house and secure the surgical optical fiber within the holder to prevent a possibility of the fiber to move at least axially and/or rotate about the axis while, at the same time, avoiding microbending of the surgical optical fiber (which such holder is configured to house) to prevent fiber burning during use of the surgical fiber with high-power laser sources. The holder is optionally and preferably configured as a controller of spatial orientation of the fiber output portion (which output portion remains invisible to the user during the application) that ensures that the output optical power is delivered from the termination of the optical fiber in the intended direction.

  • Patent number: 11911101
Abstract: Optical fibers used to deliver laser energy inside the body are often twisted and bent when passed through tortuous routes in accessing the target tissue or pathology, e.g. during the ureteroscopic laser lithotripsy. When an irregular laser output that is produced at the start of the lasing process is channeled through a fiber that is bent at or near the bend limit, fail safe polymer claddings are damaged and can no longer contain even regular laser output in tight deflection. A common resulting fiber failure, known as ‘fiber burn through’, results in injuries to patients and is a major cause of damage to ureteroscopes. Discussed are the systems and methodologies providing a solution to such premature fiber failure.

  • Publication number: 20240036720
Abstract: In part, the disclosure relates to intravascular data collection systems and the software-based visualization and display of intravascular data relating to detected side branches and side branch obstruction. An estimate of side branch diameter can be made based on a vessel profile or a maximum diameter of a vessel at a distal and proximal location relative to the side branch. A amount of side branch obstruction may be determined by comparing an observed side branch diameter with in the image data with the estimated side branch diameter. In addition, an amount of blood flow obstruction may also be determined.

  • Publication number: 20240033003
Abstract: Articles of manufacture, including terminations of or attachments to optical fibers are configured to substantially prevent axial emission and redirect radially most if not all light emanating from optical fibers. In that, a termination may include a fiber cap of a unitary construction of a tube and an optical element disposed to face a sealed end of the tube and dividing a hollow of the tube and having a conical surface, or an optical element dividing the hollow and complemented by a cone. An example of termination includes an optical fiber element having an up-tapered end with a maximum taper-diameter exceeding the core-diameter and ending at a conical element with an apex angle from about 700 to about 100°. Articles of manufacture additionally including mounting contraptions cooperating such terminations with cannulae to form an attachment to a laser system.
