  • Patent number: 10995469
Abstract: A quick coupler provides a way to securely lock implements to the coupler utilizing a design which receives hooks at connection locations and then directs pins into pockets at a rear of the implement. Instead of directing the pins along a pocket axis (as is done in the prior art), the pins are directed at an angle relative to the pocket axis thereby securely connecting the coupler to the implement. In fact some embodiments can have a pin extension system spaced from a wedge plate surface defining the pocket of the implement.

  • Patent number: 7337564
Abstract: A loader coupler or other attachment includes first and second roll-back stops located on opposite lateral sides. The stops include a mounting location such as a boss, a bumper or stop member releasably secured to the mounting location, and optionally one or more shims disposed between the mounting location and the stop member. The number and thickness of the shims may be used to control the spacing of the first and second stop members from their respective mounting locations to thus control the angular position of the coupler when the stop members contact the respective arms of the machine carrying the coupler.

  • Patent number: 6886279
Abstract: A loader coupler includes first and second dump stops located on opposite lateral sides of the coupler and first and second roll-back stops located on opposite lateral sides of the coupler. Each of the dump and roll-back stops includes a base connected to or formed as a part of the coupler; at least one shim located adjacent the base; and, a cover releasably connected to the base and located adjacent the at least one shim. Accordingly, the at least one shim is located between the cover and the base. The outer face of the cover can be angled to ensure flush contact between it and an associated arm of a loader to which the coupler is connected. The adjustable stops are used by locating at least one shim adjacent the base and securing the a cover to the base member and adjacent the shim, with the shim located between the cover and the base member. Thereafter, it is determined if the cover contacts the associated loader arm in a desired stop position.

  • Patent number: 6730820
Abstract: A GON-1 migration protein in C. elegans and a gon-1 gene encoding same are disclosed. The protein, termed GON-1, shows structural similarity to a protein produced by an up-regulated RNA in an advanced tumor cell. Although the tumor cell protein has not previously been identified as having any role in cell migration, it is disclosed herein that the related GON-1 protein is required for cell migration and is involved in shaping tissues or organs. It is deduced that the protein is also a target for modulators of cell migration and tissue shaping.

  • Patent number: 6619236
Abstract: Provided is an elongated bird safety pedicure perch. The perch is a combination safety excerise perch and nail trimming device. The perch offers two safe smooth sides for the bird to stand on to protect the tender pads of the bird's feet from harsh abbrasive surfaces; along with smooth ridges and rounded radiuses to exercise the birds leg and feet muscles. The other two sides have the coarse texture, needed to keep the birds nails in a naturally healthy state of trim. A connection assembly, which acceptably includes a threaded rod, two fender washers and a nut, are used to mount the entire bird safety pedicure perch apparatus to a bird cage or similar structure. The perch is preferably made of a solid, abrasive material, such as concrete or resin with a gritty aggregate material embedded therein, so that the abrasive properties of the material preferably stay constant.

  • Publication number: 20030039354
Abstract: A FIFO is implemented as a buffer to encrypt/decrypt packet data and return the data to the same location where it was initially stored. No additional buffer or difficult buffer size decision is therefore required to compensate for the latency associated with the encryption/decryption. The FIFO implementation includes primary and secondary pointers. The primary pointers are available to the transmit/receive circuitry and the secondary pointers are used by the cryptographic circuit. When data is initially loaded into the FIFO, the FIFO does not report data availability to the primary user until the secondary user (cryptographic service) has read a block and returned the block to the same location. The FIFO is implemented via a single port RAM. Blocks are based on the encryption block size. The FIFO similarly reports packet availability based on application packet sizes (such as 188 MPEG2 transport stream packets).
