Abstract: Methods for identifying cancer patients eligible to receive Bcl-2 family inhibitor therapy and for monitoring patient response to Bcl-2 family inhibitor therapy comprise assessment of the expression levels of the biomarker combinations set out in TABLES 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 or 20 in a patient tissue sample. The methods of the invention allow more effective identification of patients to receive Bcl-2 family inhibitor therapy and of determination of patient response to the therapy.

Abstract: A support column assembly is provided that comprises a first support tube having an opening therein and extending perpendicularly from a bearing plate, a second support tube extending perpendicularly from a support base and being axially disposed within the opening of the first support tube, and a clamp assembly for clamping the first support tube relative to the second support tube. In this embodiment, the clamp assembly comprises a cylindrical sleeve and a cylindrical clamp. The cylindrical clamp has a tapered opening therein for receiving a tapered end portion of the cylindrical sleeve, wherein the cylindrical clamp is configured to compress the cylindrical sleeve when the tapered opening of the cylindrical clamp is pressed onto the tapered end portion of the cylindrical sleeve, such that the cylindrical sleeve compresses the first support tube onto the second support tube to effectively clamp the first support tube relative to the second support tube.

Abstract: A support column collet assembly is provided that comprise a base having a tube extending perpendicularly from the base, a bearing plate having a tube extending perpendicularly from the bearing plate, and a collet clamp. The collet clamp has a tapered cylindrical portion at the end of the collet that is adapted to be received within the bearing plate tube, and an opening therein for adjustably receiving the end of the base tube. The collet further comprises at least two slots extending longitudinally from the end of the collet adapted to receive the base tube. The inside diameter of the collet clamp is configured to compress against the base tube received in the opening when the tapered cylindrical surface is pressed into the bearing plate tube, to effectively clamp the base tube relative to the bearing plate tube.
