  • Publication number: 20240370315
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to process pooling for application services. In examples, a pool of utility processes is maintained, such that a preexisting utility process is identified from the process pool based on a set of criteria and used to host a service accordingly (e.g., in response to a service request from an application or other software). In instances where the process pool does not include a utility process that matches the set of criteria, a new utility process may be created and used to host the service. Further, the new utility process may be added to the process pool, such that a future service having the same or a similar associated set of criteria may be hosted using the new utility process accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20230310574
Abstract: Provided herein are genetically engineered Pichinde viruses that include three ambiense genomic segments. The first genomic segment includes two coding regions encoding a Z protein and a L RdRp protein. The second genomic segment includes a coding region encoding a nucleoprotein (NP) and the third genomic segment includes a coding region encoding a glycoprotein. Each of the second and third genomic segments include an additional coding region that may encode a reovirus sigma C protein or a reovims sigma B protein. In one embodiment, a genetically engineered Pichinde virus encodes a reovims sigma C protein and a reovirus sigma B protein. Also provided herein is a reverse genetics system for making genetically engineered Pichinde virus, and a collection of vectors that can be used to produce genetically engineered Pichinde virus. Further provided are methods for using a reverse genetics system, and methods for treating a reovirus infection in a subject.

  • Publication number: 20190114573
Abstract: A task manager can receive protocol compliance information for a selected industrial task. The protocol compliance information includes identifiers for a set of persons executing the selected industrial task. The task manager can also query a certification database to determine if each member of the set of persons has been issued a certification corresponding to the selected industrial task. The task manager calculates a risk score for execution of the selected industrial task based on a category of the selected industrial task, the protocol compliance information and the results of the querying.

  • Patent number: 9758611
Abstract: Brominated styrene-butadiene copolymers are recovered from solution in an organic solvent. The copolymer solution is mixed with a liquid non-solvent in the presence of a suspension stabilizer to form a dispersion. The dispersion is heated to vaporize the organic solvent. This process produces precipitated copolymer particles having useful particle sizes, which can be easily used in downstream applications.

  • Patent number: 9684440
Abstract: Systems and methods for receiving and displaying images or sending the images for display include images having multiple key images of an object. Each key image depicts a perspective view of an item from a different angle around the object. The multiple key images are displayed in a gallery view. During the gallery view, multiple supplementary images are received or sent. Each supplementary image includes a perspective view of the object from an angle between adjacent angles used for the key images. After transmission of at least some of the supplementary images, the key images and the supplementary images are mixed into a rotational view of the object.
