Abstract: A method and apparatus for retaining neckerchiefs scarves, handkerchiefs, bandannas, and/or other deformable items is disclosed. One embodiment of the invention is a neckerchief slide comprising a body having a cavity through it. A first post and a second post connect to the body on opposite sides of the cavity. The first and second posts are capable of securing an elastic band such that the elastic band extends across the cavity.
