  • Patent number: 4317899
Abstract: A process for producing a fluorosilicone polymer comprising reacting a fluoro-substituted cyclic polysiloxane with a polymerization catalyst and as the novel ingredient a low molecular weight silanol terminated diorganopolysiloxane polymer and then after the polymer is formed, neutralizing the catalyst. In another embodiment of the present invention, there can be utilized in the polymerization reaction a high molecular weight aliphatic alcohol in place of the low molecular weight silanol terminated diorganopolysiloxane polymer.
