  • Publication number: 20080073376
Abstract: This invention relates to a dispenser, for preferably Frozen Carbonate Beverage (FCB) product, having valves that can be manually or electrically operated in response to electronic controls. The valve has a jam dispensing position, and can be used with an additive, such as flavors, injector. A power failure back up is provided to close the valve, along with sanitation and optional purging cycles. Product dispense is provided only when sensed to have a desired consistency and/or in a condition to prevent splashing. Additive dispense is provided only when product is present. The dispenser can have a monitor and suitable controller to dispense strips or layers of different additives or flavors into the product.

  • Patent number: 7264687
Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus for forming a fabric for an architectural opening covering. The apparatus comprises a joining section, an accumulator, a cutting station, and a stacker. The joining section is configured to join together first, second, third and fourth material strips into a fabric strip. The accumulator is configured to accumulate the fabric strip upon leaving the joining section. The cutting station is configured to sever the fabric strip into an upstream fabric strip and a first downstream fabric strip. The stacker is configured to join the first downstream fabric strip with a second downstream fabric strip to form the fabric.

  • Publication number: 20070145074
Abstract: A beverage dispenser is characterized by a beverage dispensing station having a valve for dispensing a beverage while a flow of air is contacted with the beverage being dispensed to entrain in the air an aroma of the beverage for dissemination of the aroma to a customer or another selected area. The airflow can be generated by a fan contained within a housing of the beverage dispensing station.

  • Publication number: 20060157152
Abstract: A beverage dispenser apparatus and method for dispensing a beverage, be it soda, beer or frozen “slushy” type is provided with a direct or indirect mounted game type controller for operating and dispensing the beverage. Additional features such as game displays, audio and or additional dispensing functions, such as adding flavoring, and vending may be controlled via the game type control. The vending operation may be initiated by money deposits or acceptance of some type card such as a debit, credit or other card.

  • Publication number: 20050115989
Abstract: A beverage dispensing head for a beverage dispenser admixes diluent and syrup for dispensing into a cup. The dispensing head has a nozzle with a diluent receiving surface that leads downward to a juncture of the surface with an outlet from the nozzle. Diluent delivered to the dispensing head is introduced onto the diluent receiving surface for flow along the surface to and past the juncture. Syrup delivered to the dispensing head is emitted in the nozzle as a plurality of discrete streams directed toward and against diluent at the juncture for admixture with the diluent. The admixture of diluent and syrup then exits the dispensing head nozzle through the nozzle outlet for being dispensed into the cup.

  • Publication number: 20050067433
Abstract: A device for injecting additive fluids into a stream of a primary fluid as it passes through a common central bore is characterized by a series of specially formed layers each having a particular fluid flow pattern formed therein. The layers are registered one above the other and sandwiched together to form an integral unit in which there are separate fluid flow channels for each of a desired number of additive fluids. Each channel has an inlet for receiving fluid from an associated pressurized source and a plurality of outlets terminating in angularly spaced relationship around an interior perimeter surface of the common bore. A selection mechanism provides for choosing a desired additive fluid for injection into the primary fluid in a manner coordinated with the flow of the primary fluid through the common bore.

  • Patent number: 5664773
Abstract: A strip conveyor and stacker receives cut elongated flexible strips from a strip former and by conveying and stacking the strips produces a stack of strips such as a cellular panel for a window covering. The conveyor receives the strips from the strip former and includes a foraminous conveyor belt which holds the strips on the surface thereof by suction. At the stacker, the strips are discharged from the conveyor belt by applying a burst of pressurized air, thereby ejecting the strips into a stacker magazine. As the strips are stacked, the magazine is indexed to increase its depth, or a cellular structure formed by the stacked strips is withdrawn from the body of the magazine. An auxiliary magazine may be used to form a preliminary stack of soft, flexible strips prior to stacking in the magazine. A strip defect sensor scans each strip and causes the ejection of defective strips from the apparatus.
