  • Publication number: 20240110487
Abstract: A gas turbine engine includes a turbine section that has a retainer ring, a first vane that bears against the retainer ring to prevent movement of the first vane in a first axial direction, a second vane axially spaced from the first vane, and a blade axially between the first vane and the second vane. A blade outer air seal is situated radially outwardly of the blade. The blade outer air seal includes a ceramic matrix composite body that defines a core gaspath side that faces the blade, a forward end, an aft end, and circumferential sides. There is a spring seal at the aft end of the blade outer air seal that seals against the second vane. The spring seal provides a preload that biases the blade outer air seal against the first vane and thereby biases the first vane against the retainer ring.

  • Publication number: 20240053379
Abstract: A system includes a body, a sensor, a pressurized fluid source, and a blockage detection module. The body defines a cavity open to an ambient environment at a port. The sensor communicates with the cavity to produce a signal representative of a fluid pressure within the cavity. The blockage detection module includes a pressure regulator and a valve disposed along a conduit fluidly connecting the pressurized fluid source to the cavity. The blockage detection module includes a processor and memory encoded with instructions of a blockage detection method.

  • Patent number: 11415026
Abstract: A system for timing a crankshaft and a camshaft in an internal combustion engine having a cylinder head structure with a timing pin hole and a camshaft cavity. The camshaft has a first opening that extends from an outer annular wall of a first shaft towards a longitudinal axis. A cam bushing having a bushing clearance hole is inserted into the camshaft cavity and the camshaft is assembled with the cam bushing and cylinder head structure to align the bearing clearance hole with first opening of the camshaft. A timing pin is inserted through the timing pin hole, bushing clearance hole, and first opening of the camshaft to position the camshaft in a camshaft timing position. The crankshaft is rotated to a crankshaft timing position either before or after the camshaft is rotated for setting a static timing of the crankshaft and camshaft, and the timing pins are removed.

  • Patent number: 11288981
Abstract: A set of simulator hardware and software provide a realistic training environment for pressure equalization tube delivery to a tympanic membrane using a semi-automated pressure equalization tube delivery device (“PETDD”). An anatomically realistic ear model is attached to a touch sensitive display so that the ear model aligns with a displayed virtual image of the middle ear, creating a realistic view through the ear canal of the ear model. A training PETDD and other devices of the simulator provide pressure and location data for the training PETDD as a trainee inserts the PETDD tip into the ear canal to rest against the virtual TM and simulate a PE tube delivery event. Resulting data is examined to determine whether the simulated delivery would have been successful if it had been a real scenario.

  • Patent number: 11175800
Abstract: A new element mapper is provided for mapping elements of a page using user-provided or automatically generated terms or names. Specifically, a user may direct an application displaying a page to enter into an in-context element mapping mode, in which page elements eligible for mapping may be identified and highlighted whenever one is moused or hovered over. Responsive to the user selecting a page element of interest, the element mapper may provide a dialog with an input field. The dialog may be displayed near the page element of interest or as part of the page. Based on a user-provided or automatically generated name, the element mapper may generate a mapping output and store it in association with a selector for the page element of interest. The mapping output can be used to build a site rule in context of the page element of interest.

  • Patent number: 10313295
Abstract: A system and method provides a computer-implemented messaging service. Users subscribe to message channels. A message queue buffers messages to a router. The router determines whether characteristics of a first message match criteria specified in subscription requests, and may route the first message to one or more sending agents based on modes of communication specified in the subscription service requests. The sending agent(s) generate a second message formatted for the specified modes of communication based on the first message. Message load balancing, message queuing, message routing, and message sending services may all be independently scaled to adjust for demand.

  • Patent number: 10229170
Abstract: Systems and processes provide network clients on various platforms a customized file system experience on demand while managing files (e.g., computer animation files) across a variety of storage devices spread across a network of arbitrary size (local area networks, wide area networks, worldwide networks, the world wide web, etc.). Clients may specify a set of requirements for an instantiation of a file system interface or object for a given application. Such requirements may include storage location, file quality, capacity, scale, permanence, speed, and the like. The system may then provide to the client a customized file system interface with particular hardware resources allocated to satisfy the designated file system requirements. The file system interface may coordinate file delivery, allocation, tracking, transportation, caching, deletion, and the like. The system may manage and allocate hardware resources ranging from a local client computer to distant hard drive banks across the world.
