    Abstract: A lure for surface fishing in weedy areas. The lure has a weighted, spoonshaped body with a long tufted tail extending at an angle from the rear of the body and large, widely set double hooks rigidly attached to the concave side of the body. The aerodynamic shape of the lure allows it to fall in a "hooks-up" position when cast and the tail member supports the lure in such a "hooks-up" position during a landing and a sliding retrieval along the surface of weed filled waters.
