  • Patent number: 6601232
Abstract: A system and method are employed for the creation of test procedures. Through use of a data network (12), remotely located users may access the system and either retrieve existing test procedures or create new ones. Further, the system provides the capability to combine new procedures with pre-existing templates. The system may provide a number of sections (44-60) in which a system user may enter information for creating a test procedure. Further functions are provided to edit test procedure (32), copy, rename or delete test procedures, as well as submit a test procedure (38) for approval. Following acceptance and approval (40) of the test procedure the facility to execute the procedure exists. The system user enters the required information into the fields provided in the automated procedure and executes the procedure documenting each step and entering notes or flag information during the interactive session.
