  • Patent number: 5083930
Abstract: A ground adapter is disclosed which comprises an electrically conductive metal body having a threaded cylindrical end portion of a size fitting a threaded opening in the wall of an object to be grounded. The metal body has a transversely extending hole at the end portion opposite the threaded end. A small longitudinally extending threaded hole is provided in the end wall of the metal body and intersects the transverse hole for the ground wire. A screw member is positioned in the threaded hole and movable into and out of the transverse hole for anchoring a ground wire in place. In a second embodiment, the transverse hole may be threaded and the longitudinal hole made smooth to receive a ground wire extending therein. Other embodiments include auxiliary connections for securing a metal bonding ribbon in place as well as a grounding wire. One such embodiment clamps a metal bonding ribbon around a pipe or conduit for grounding.

  • Patent number: 4623205
Abstract: A bonding flange adapter is disclosed which provides an efficient and quick device for attaching bonding ribbon to sleeves or splicing casings used in connection with cable in the telecommunications, i.e. television, telephone, telegraph, etc., field. Telecommunications cable is usually encased in tubing or casing for protection in installation. The cable casing is usually pressurized with gas and is grounded by metal ribbon secured to the casing and to ground. This bonding flange adapter provides both a means for attaching the grounding ribbon and a means for introducing air into the casing or for measuring air pressure, in the form of a fitting which is threaded into a sleeve or splicing case and has a threaded opening for an air valve and a slotted connection for a grounding ribbon.

  • Patent number: 4557446
Abstract: A novel cable retention system is disclosed for a vertically-extending, channel-shaped wall rack member with a plurality of vertically spaced retaining T-slots therein, and a cable hanger having a T-shaped end portion with a neck portion fitting the base portion of one of the T-slots to retain the same in place and on which an underground cable is secured. A resilient, flexible-plastic, retaining clip is wedged between the T-shaped end-portion of the cable hanger and the upper edge of the T-slot in which it is positioned to secure the cable hanger against accidental dislodgment. The clip comprises a formed resilient flexible piece of plastic having an indentation along its top surface with a low ridge along one edge thereof and a higher wall along the other edge fitting on opposite sides of the upper edge of the T-slot in which it is positioned.
