    Abstract: A method and related system for advertising that senses the presence of a consumer proximate to a display of products, invokes (based on the presence of the consumer), an advertisement selected from a group of previously supplied advertisements, and wirelessly reports statistics of the invocation of advertisements. A second method related to inventory control of a product wherein an identification tag having a wireless communication device is attached to a product, the identification tag is read with a corresponding reader having a wireless communication device communicable with said identification tag, product-related information obtained from the identification tag is processed, the presence of a consumer is sensed, and at least one consumer is informed of commercial information associated with the product-related information. This method may further encompass the initiation of a discount associated with pre-selected products.
