  • Patent number: 4924573
Abstract: An improved pruner having a housing assembly provided with telescoping sections, a telescoping drive shaft assembly contained within the housing, a cutting head at one of the drive shaft assembly, and a power source at the other end and further including, as an improvement, a power driven gear system including reduction gears and reversing gears, and a worm drive engaging a rack mounted upon the telescoping sections of the housing for extending or collapsing the housing and hence the pruner. A shift lever adjacent a pruner handle actuates the worm drive to extend or collapse the pruner to provide a pruner of desired length.

  • Patent number: 4819833
Abstract: A measuring, metering, and mixing can, particularly for gasoline and oil, including a gasoline container with filler cap and spout; and oil container with filler cap; visual type gauges for each container; and a plunger-cylinder metering unit for withdrawing a selected amount of oil from the oil container and injecting the same into the gasoline can for producing an oil-gasoline mixture. The visual gauge on the gasoline container and the visual gauge on the oil container permit the metering of an exact amount of oil, dependent upon the amount of gasoline within the gasoline container for a precise ratio of oil-gasoline in the mixture. A hinged cover on the can protects the metering equipment during periods of non-use.

  • Patent number: 4649644
Abstract: An adapter having particular application to quickly and easily convert a portable worm driven circular power saw into a sprocket driven chain saw. The adapter comprises an adjustable compression ring portion which is adapted to be attached to the existing bearing plate of the circular saw without requiring a removal of the bearing plate. Coextensively formed with the adapter compression ring portion is a base portion having a structure which permits a cutting chain bar and a cutting chain safety guard to be connected to opposite faces of the base portion. Thus, a circular cutting blade may be replaced by a cutting chain, and vice versa, without removing the existing bearing plate, as is commonly required when a conventional converison apparatus is utilized.
