Abstract: A curb-and-grate inlet filter is provided for temporarily covering, during nearby construction activities, the curb-and-grate inlet of a storm drainage system so as to filter from storm water runoff silt and debris attendant such construction. The curb-and-grate inlet filter includes a body having a first and a second portion formed of interconnected coils. The filter also includes a filter medium that may enclose the body. The filter medium filters silt and debris from water passing through the filter and into the curb-and-grate inlet.

Abstract: A reinforced silt retention sheet is provided for use in soil erosion control applications. The reinforced silt retention sheet includes a web of material that allows water to pass therethrough but resists the passage of silt and debris therethrough. The silt retention sheet includes one or more reinforcing elements that provide attachment points for fasteners used to fasten the sheet to support members for proper positioning during erosion control applications.

Abstract: A curb inlet filter for temporarily enclosing the curb inlet of a storm drainage system during the construction of a road system in commercial and residential developments is adapted to be placed adjacent a curb inlet in order to enable storm water runoff to drain into the inlet while preventing silt and debris from being carried into and collected therein. The curb inlet filter includes an elongated body having a first and a second end to which are attached first and second weighted anchors. The elongated body includes a filter medium that may enclose a support member. The filter medium filters silt and debris from water passing through the filter and the weighted anchors help to maintain the filter in place adjacent the curb inlet.

The silt guard includes a body portion formed from a series of spaced slats defining radially spaced passages through the silt guard. A filter cover is received over the silt guard, formed from a silt screen material, with the slats of the body portion providing rigidity and strength to the filter cover. The filter cover filters out silt and debris while enabling storm water and runoff to drain into the drop inlet.

Abstract: A silt guard apparatus for filtering runoff water, including a fluid distributing pan coupled to a silt guard or filtering device. The silt guard apparatus is fitted over and seated upon a drainage pipe for controlling erosion at construction sites and for trapping and preventing oily residues and/or solid particles such as silt and other debris from being washed into, collected or being otherwise deposited within a water drainage pipe with the runoff water, while still enabling water to drain therethrough. The fluid distributing pan of the present invention includes an orifice, and may further include a fluid receiving body surrounding the orifice and a connecting member contiguous with the fluid receiving body. The connecting member functions to couple the silt guard to the fluid distributing pan to form the silt-guard apparatus, which in another embodiment is interconnected and substantially sealed to the drainage pipe.
