    Abstract: A folding step ladder is provided wherein a ladder having side leg portions with at least three steps extending between and fixedly connected to the side leg portions is supported by at least a pair of support legs pivotally mounted on the top end portion of the ladder for pivotal movement in a plane parallel to the plane extending between the side leg portions and at least one additional support leg pivotally mounted on the top end portion of the ladder for pivotal movement in a plane parallel to the planes of the side leg portions and wherein each of the pair of support legs and the additional leg are provided with slidable extension tubes so that the ladder may be supported to extend in a vertical direction on any supporting surface. Also, another ladder is connected to the folding step ladder for relative sliding movement therebetween so as to provide a folding extension step ladder.
