  • Publication number: 20230165394
Abstract: A floating beverage holder designed to chill and maintain a cold beverage container in an upright position on water. The beverage holder includes an open cavity sized and shaped to accommodate a desired beverage container, or multiple beverage containers. A first sealed compartment substantially surrounds the cavity and includes a freezable material, such as water, refrigerant or a gel. A second compartment filled with a buoyant and insulative material, such as a polyurethane, substantially surrounds the first compartment. A hard outer shell protects the insulative material of the second compartment. The body of the holder is shaped to provide stability on the water surface.

  • Patent number: 7461532
Abstract: A monitoring and alarm system is disclosed for a rolling mill in which oil is pumped from a reservoir via feed piping and branch feed lines to oil film bearings and oil is returned from the bearings via branch drain lines and return piping to the reservoir. The system comprises sensors positioned in at least one of the branch feed lines, the branch return lines and the bearings. The sensors are operative to sense diverse parameters indicative of bearing operating conditions and to generate status signals representative thereof. A controller evaluates the status signals and triggers warning signals when the status signals indicate that the bearings are in danger of being damaged by continued operation. Alarms respond to the warning signals and alert mill operating personnel to such danger.

  • Publication number: 20050281499
Abstract: An oil outlet is disclosed for a rolling mill oil film bearing in which a bushing is fixed within a chock. The bushing has an internal bearing surface surrounding a rotating journal surface of a roll. Oil is introduced into a gap between the journal and bearing surfaces, and the thus introduced oil is rotatably propelled by the rotating journal surface before escaping tangentially from opposite ends of the gap. The oil outlet comprises a cover defining a groove adjacent to an end of the gap. The groove is positioned and configured to receive oil escaping from the gap and to redirect the oil along a circular path. An exit passageway communicates with the groove and is arranged substantially tangentially with respect to the circular path to receive oil escaping from the groove.
