  • Patent number: 10085750
Abstract: A receiving assembly for releasably coupling a loading unit to an adapter while preventing inadvertent actuation of the loading unit includes a load link, a tip housing, and a locking member. The load link includes a distal portion and the tip housing defines a longitudinal slot and a lock opening. The locking member includes a member body and a locking tab extending from a lower surface thereof. The member body is disposed within the longitudinal slot of the tip housing. The locking member is moveable between an unlocked position such that the locking tab is positioned within the lock opening and a locked position such that the locking tab extends from the lock opening. • Publication number: 20180153545
Abstract: A manual retraction tool for use with a surgical tool assembly of a surgical device includes a shaft, a rotation mechanism, and a trigger. The shaft is dimensioned to be inserted into a rotational connector of a surgical tool assembly and to effect rotation of the connector upon rotation of the shaft. The rotation mechanism configured to rotatably support the shaft. The trigger is operably connected to the rotation mechanism such that when the trigger is actuated from a first position to a second position, the rotation mechanism rotates the shaft about a longitudinal axis in a first direction to effect rotation of the rotational connector of the surgical tool assembly.

  • Patent number: 9987095
Abstract: A force transmitting assembly of an adapter assembly includes a rotatable drive shaft, a strain sensor, and a drive member. The drive shaft includes a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a flange. The distal portion includes a threaded portion. The strain sensor is coupled to the drive shaft and disposed adjacent the flange such that longitudinal movement of the drive shaft imparts a force on the strain sensor via the flange. The distal drive member has a proximal end rotatably coupled to the threaded portion of the drive shaft and a distal end configured to be operatively coupled to a driven member of a surgical loading unit. Rotation of the drive shaft longitudinally moves the drive member relative to the drive shaft to actuate the surgical loading unit.
