Abstract: A predominantly linear 100% triblock sequentially polymerized hydrogenated styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer composition comprised of linear polymeric blocks for use in adhesives, modified thermoplastic compositions and mechanical goods.

Abstract: A cured composition possessing excellent cohesive strength at high temperatures along with excellent adhesion, shear strength and solvent resistance is prepared by the high energy ionizing radiation initiated curing of a polymer composition comprising an alkenyl arene/conjugated diene block copolymer and a oligomer such that the unsaturation index of the composition is minimized. The radiation initiated curing of the adhesive composition is accomplished without requiring the aid of a coupling agent to promote crosslinking of the block copolymer during exposure to the radiation.

Abstract: A sealant composition possessing an excellent balance of properties including good tack, low melt viscosity and a cohesive failure mechanism in the 180.degree. peel test comprises a selectively hydrogenated monoalkenyl arene/conjugated diene block copolymer component having certain block molecular weights, tackifying resin, plasticizers and silane coupling agent.

Abstract: A process for selecting a C.sub.5 -based hydrocarbon tackifying resin to be used in an adhesive composition with a monoalkenyl arene conjugated diene block copolymer is disclosed. Pursuant to the selection process, a novel tackifying resin having an unobvious balance of properties is also disclosed, along with its combination with an elastomeric block copolymer in an adhesive composition.
