  • Patent number: 10868365
Abstract: A portable common geometry non-linear antenna apparatus including a partially transparent housing defining a cavity, and a generally hemispherical antenna disposed within the cavity. The generally hemispherical antenna further includes an electrically conductive ground portion, an electrically conductive signal portion, an electrically insulating portion disposed between the electrically conductive ground and signal portions, and an electrically conducting mesh portion connected in electric communication with the signal portion. A first contact operationally connected to the ground portion and a second contact operationally connected to the signal portion. The electrically conductive mesh portion typically extends or bulges away from the electrically insulating portion to define a Faraday cage.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 2, 2019
Date of Patent: December 15, 2020

  • Patent number: 8063296
Abstract: An Apparatus for Percussive Harmonic Musical Synthesis (APHAMS) which facilitates state-of-the-art musical expression, through generation of melodic sound, bearing well defined tone and note pitch, by the striking of uniquely configured multiple note activitation trigger mechanism surfaces, termed muzi-pads, with an appropriately sized mallet, stick, or other such similar playing implement, for the generation of a desired note, by a given MIDI device and which provides an enhanced emulation of the traditional tenor steelpan, in its interface with the player.

  • Publication number: 20090076173
Abstract: A delivery system for a hygienic agent according to the present invention includes an agent in a viscous paste and/or semi-solid gel form, which includes a skin benefiting composition containing cleansing and/or positive skin sensory elements. The system is configured to deliver the skin benefiting composition to the whole body or on selected, discrete parts of the body to promote a skin massaging/pleasant feel, during either a washing process or outside of a washing process.

  • Patent number: 5678242
Abstract: Thermodynamically-unstable complexing agents which are diphosphonic acids and diphosphonic acid derivatives (or sulphur containing analogs), like carboxyhydroxymethanediphosphonic acid and vinylidene-1,1-diphosphonic acid, are capable of complexing with metal ions, and especially metal ions in the II, III, IV, V and VI oxidation states, to form stable, water-soluble metal ion complexes in moderately alkaline to highly-acidic media. However, the complexing agents can be decomposed, under mild conditions, into non-organic compounds which, for many purposes are environmentally-nondamaging compounds thereby degrading the complex and releasing the metal ion for disposal or recovery. Uses for such complexing agents as well as methods for their manufacture are also described.
