  • Patent number: 6003707
Abstract: A box is fitted together with a bottom of lateral walls, the latter being connected by mutually-engaging slots. The bottom has pins received in blind bores which engage in blind holes of the lateral walls. At least one of these pins is spring-biased to allow at least one lateral wall to be inserted. After the spring-biased pin jumps into the blind hold of this inserted wall, the pin and bore junctions are invisible and the system cannot be readily disassembled.

  • Patent number: 4430834
Abstract: A building construction assembly has a plurality of vertical posts and horizontal members each formed of a plurality of parallel shell elements and each having on at least one face a pair of flat laterally projecting flanges. The flanges lie generally in a plane and define an opening. Wall panels are secured to these flanges, which are integral with the respective shell elements, by means of C-shaped clips each having one arm engaging the flange in one direction and another arm engaging the panel and pressing it in the opposite direction against the flange. The flanges may be bent back double and received in resilient channels.

  • Patent number: 4107893
Abstract: A structural framework for a building, to be assembled from prefabricated parts, comprises a skeleton of columns and struts supporting wall elements which are framed by upper and lower struts and by columns spanned by these struts. Both the struts and the columns have faces formed with longitudinal slots receiving coplanar strips of rubber or other preferably thermally insulating material which project into the opening bounded thereby and coact with retainers on the columns and/or struts for holding the wall elements in position. Especially with wall elements in the form of windows, the retainers may be fixed sills set back from the slots of opposite strut or column faces. In other instances, the retainers may comprise brackets slidably engaging in the strut and/or columm slots and anchor lugs on the wall elements engageable with these brackets.

  • Patent number: 4067161
Abstract: A piece of furniture comprises several angularly adjoining structural components, such as plates and/or bars, or polygonal outline. Each component is framed by several modular elements in the form of elongate profiles extending along respective sides of the polygon. Each profile has a wide first flange, contacting the component or integral therewith, and a second, narrower flange held spaced from this first flange by a transverse web; a still narrower third flange may be held spaced from the second flange by an extension of the web, the three flanges then having beveled edges lying in two common planes which include angles of 90.degree. or 60.degree. with the midplane of the profile.

  • Patent number: 3999351
Abstract: A column of hexagonal profile, or of H-profile complemented by a pair of flanking inserts to a hexagon, is fitted to a beam-engaging joint by embracing or entering a hexagonal core thereof from which six arms radiate in different directions. The column may have lugs or flanges rising beyond its body and fitting between adjacent joint arms while the core rests on the top of the column. Longitudinal grooves in the column body, extending along the corners of the hexagon, serve to receive edge portions of elongate brackets designed to secure associated wall elements to the column.
