    Abstract: Bis(hydroxyphenyl)-alkanoic acid esters the phenyl radicals of which are alkylated twice are prepared by alkylation of corresponding compounds carrying one alkyl radical at the nucleus, using isobutylene as alkylating agent. The alkanoic acid esters are obtained in crystalline form and are suitable as stabilizers for polyolefins.
