  • Patent number: 6615112
Abstract: A method and device is provided for multistage calibration of multiple-axis measuring robots (6) and associated optical measuring devices (10), especially 3D sensors, in a measuring station (1) for workpieces (2), preferably the bodyshells of motor vehicles. Calibration occurs in a measuring cascade comprising at least three calibrating steps, whereby the optical measuring device (10) and the operating point (28) thereof, the manipulator (6) and the axes thereof and the allocation of the manipulator (6) with respect to the workpiece (2) are successively calibrated. The calibration device (47) includes a control and a calibration system (27) for the operating point (28), a calibration body (15) for the axes of the manipulator and a calibration device (12) for the allocation of the manipulator with respect to the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 5269780
Abstract: A electrosurgical device for selectively carrying out bipolar coagulation tissue has a preferably elongate instrument housing (10) with a guide tube (14) for three mutually insulated contact rods (11, 12, 13) which are arranged therein. Two of the contact rods (12, 13) serve at their free ends as coagulation electrodes (22, 23) and the center one (11) serves as a cutting electrode (21) which can be moved towards or through the two coagulation electrodes. In this arrangement a switching device (16) is provided with the aid of which an Rf current suitable for bipolar coagulation can be applied to the coagulation electrodes (22, 23) in a first switch position. In a second switch position, the coagulation electrodes (22, 23) are connected in parallel while a potential suitable for tissue cutting is applied to the cutting electrode (21).

  • Patent number: 4706667
Abstract: In an electro-surgical r.f. cutting instrument in which the neutral electrode (11) is arranged on both sides of the cutting electrode (12) but is however set back relative to the cutting electrode (12) on the instrument body (13). The ratio of the sizes of the contact areas (14, 15) of the neutral electrode (11) and of the cutting electrode (12) is greater than 7:1 and smaller than 20:1.

  • Patent number: 4578575
Abstract: An operating theatre lamp which transmits a directed beam of light is pivlly arranged about two axes (43, 44), which are substantially perpendicular to one another and to the beam of light (12), above the site of an operation 13. The pivotal movement of the operating theatre lamp is effected by two positioning motors (41, 42). The operating theatre lamp has a light beam selector (11) which cooperates with a control reflector (38) and a control circuit (40) in such a way that the lamp reflector (55) of the operating theatre lamp automatically follows the control reflector during displacement of the control reflector (38) within the site of the operation.

  • Patent number: 4517632
Abstract: An articulated operating theatre lamp has a handle (19, 20) by means of which it can be moved about several axes. The constructional elements which are movable relative to one another (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16) are normally secured relative to one another by means of mechanically applied but electrically releasable brakes (18) arranged in the vicinity of their hinged connections (17). Electrical switch means 21 are provided on the handle (19, 20), which actuate the electrical release mechanism (22) for the brakes (18) on being contacted by an operator and thus temporarily release the brakes during handling of the lamp (FIG. 1).

  • Patent number: 4116198
Abstract: Electro-surgical device with an insulated cable which can be passed through n endoscope, to which can be connected the pole of a high frequency generator, said pole being insulated from earth potential and on whose end facing the body cavity is provided a small-area treatment electrode projecting from the endoscope, said treatment electrode cooperating with a large-area neutral electrode connected to the other pole of the high frequency generator which is insulated from earth potential in such a way that due to the high current density in the area of the treatment electrode, a generation of heat takes place which is adequate for separating or coagulating tissue, wherein the large-area neutral electrode is arranged in the vicinity of the treatment electrode and is connected with the other pole of the high frequency generator by means of an insulated cable which can also be passed through the endoscope.
