  • Patent number: 4395273
Abstract: A multi-trace element fertilizer which contains magnesium as a further nutrient and in which the complex-forming trace elements are present in the form of anionic chelates with one or more N-carboxyalkylaminoacids is prepared by a process wherein the N-carboxyalkylaminoacids are reacted, in the presence of water, with the trace elements or trace element compounds in a molar ratio of N-carboxyalkylaminoacids to trace elements or trace element compounds of not less than 0.8:1, at least 20% by weight of the trace element compounds being oxides, hydroxides and/or carbonates. At the same time, or subsequently, the pH of the solution is brought to 3.5-6 by adding a member selected from the group consisting of magnesium oxide, hydroxide and carbonate. A maximum of 50 equivalent percent of the magnesium compound may however be replaced by a member selected from the group consisting of alkali metal oxides, hydroxides and carbonates and ammonia.

  • Patent number: 4139923
Abstract: A suction attachment for a vacuum cleaner has a housing component and a brush component which is accommodated within the housing component. Two mounting members mount the brush component in the housing component for displacement between a retracted position in which the brushes of the brush component are received within the housing component, and an extended position in which the brushes extend to the exterior of the housing component and into contact with a surface to be vacuum cleaned. The mounting components are interconnected by connecting members for synchronous pivoting about spaced pivot axes. Each mounting member is pivotally mounted on the brush component and has a support portion which engages the housing component.

  • Patent number: 3959848
Abstract: A housing of a vacuum cleaner nozzle has an opening in which a brush disk is located so that bristles of the disk extend outwardly of the opening. A journal pin for the brush disk extends with one end portion into a tubular socket formed in the housing, and has another end portion engaged by a single-point bearing in the region of the opening. A brush-disk changing arrangement is provided in the region of the socket to facilitate rapid installation and removal of the brush disk in the housing.
