  • Patent number: 4748306
Abstract: A control button unit with a block element design includes an actuator (1) having a manually operable plunger (6), which is preferably cylindrical and hollow for the purpose of interior illumination, and a coupling piece (9) having several plug-in locations for receiving electrical block elements (10 and 12) parallel and next to one another. The block elements may include a pair of switching elements (10, 12) with differing contact arrangements and a lighting element (11) to illuminate the interior of the plunger. The block elements have movable members (15, 19) contained therein so that they can be coupled to one another and moved in unison when the plunger is actuated. To provide such coupling the movable members (15, 19) have recesses and/or projections which cooperate to interlock the movable member of different block elements.

  • Patent number: 4590342
Abstract: Switching device for installation in a switchboard or the like, composed of: an actuator composed of a housing and a plunger and arranged to be pushed into and fastened to a supporting wall; and a contactor joined and fastened to the actuator and arranged to be on the interior of the supporting wall, wherein the contactor includes a supporting member connected to a plate arranged to be parallel to the supporting wall and carrying conductor paths and a rubber elastic membrane body coaxial with the plunger and carrying a layer of a conductive elastomer, the membrane body being located to be disposed between the plunger and the plate with the layer of conductive elastomer facing the plate, and with the plunger being actuatable to press against the membrane body and deform the latter in the axial direction in order to press the layer of conductive elastomer against the conductor paths.

  • Patent number: 4254317
Abstract: An illuminated push button actuator for electrical switches is disclosed consisting of a housing, a plunger, and a spring to bias the plunger. The housing and plunger have projections which allow the plunger to be inserted from the front and rotated to latch the plunger in the housing. The housing has an upstanding flange and the plunger has a removable cap which are shaped to allow the plunger to be rotated to the unlatched position only when the cap has been removed.

  • Patent number: 4249057
Abstract: The invention relates to a control-key switch for installation in a control panel or the like, consisting of two parts, that is to say an actuator which is intended to be pushed in the direction of an axis of installation, which is at right angles to a support wall, through this support wall and to be attached to it, and of a counterpart, more particularly a switching device, which can be plugged together with the actuator in the direction of the axis of installation at the inside of the support wall and which is latchable against being pulled back.
