Patent number: 8634728Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling the transport of sheets through a printing apparatus, in particular a digital printing apparatus. In the method for controlling the transport of sheets through a printing apparatus, a print queue is set by assigning images to respective sheets, prior to feeding the respective sheets into the transport arrangement. The sheets are then fed into the transport arrangement, and it is detecting whether a double sheet feeding has occurred. Superposed double sheets are deflected to a double sheet box, which is arranged upstream of the at least one print module, and at least those sheets following the superposed double sheet in the transport arrangement, for which an image has already been assigned and which are not in a duplex path, are guided to a waste box, which is arranged downstream of the at least one print module. Finally, the print queue is automatically reset and printing is continued without stopping the printing apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2007Date of Patent: January 21, 2014Assignee: Eastman Kodak CompanyInventors: Eberhard Voss, Stefan Schluenss, Eckhard Bauer

Publication number: 20110188060Abstract: For an efficient management of the printing speed in a printing machine, a method has been provided for preparing a profile of a printing speed of a printing machine for printing a plurality of sheets, wherein a print job defining the printing of a plurality of sheets is accepted and analyzed in view of a printing speed for each individual sheet. Subsequently, before printing the sheets of the print job, a profile of the printing speed is prepared for each individual sheet as a function of the printing speed and of the change-over times between different printing speeds of the printing machine. It is also possible to determine the printing speed of the sheet with the lowest printing speed within the print job and, subsequently, adjust a profile of the printing speed for the entire print job to a constant printing speed that corresponds to the lowest printing speed within the print job, with the profile being adjusted before the sheets of this print job are being printed.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 12, 2009Publication date: August 4, 2011Inventor: Eberhard Voss

PRINTING APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE TRANSPORT OF SHEETS THROUGH A PRINTING APPARATUS
Publication number: 20100271648Abstract: The invention relates to a printing apparatus and a method for controlling the transport of sheets through a printing apparatus, in particular a digital printing apparatus. The printing apparatus has at least one print module and a transport arrangement defining a direction of transport, arranged for transporting sheets past said at least one print module for printing thereon. In the method for controlling the transport of sheets through the printing apparatus, a print queue is set by assigning images to respective sheets, prior to feeding the respective sheets into the transport arrangement. The sheets are then fed into the transport arrangement, an it is detecting whether a double sheet feeding has occurred.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 27, 2007Publication date: October 28, 2010Inventors: Eberhard Voss, Stefan Schlünss, Eckhard Bauer -
Patent number: 7602074Abstract: A wind power installation with a rotor, a generator for generating electric power, at least one rotatably mounted rotor blade displaceable about its longitudinal axis for adjusting the angle of attack, and an auxiliary generator for generating electric power for at least one consumer, characterized in that the auxiliary generator produces electricity for a controller for the rotor blade adjustment and for a drive for adjusting the angle of attack of at least one rotor blade at a lower range of rotational speed in comparison to the rotational speed in normal operation, wherein the controller for the angle of attack is controlled or regulated for sustained operation in the range of the rotational speed.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2005Date of Patent: October 13, 2009Assignee: Nordex Energy GmbHInventor: Eberhard Voss
