  • Patent number: 6240969
Abstract: The invention concerns a conduit element made of metal for uncoupling high frequency vibrations in connection with exhaust gas conduits of motor vehicle internal combustion engines. To improve the uncoupling of these high frequency vibrations, the conduit element of the invention basically comprises a screw thread-shaped or annularly undulating short corrugated sheathing hose of high rigidity inserted into the exhaust gas conduit, as well as a knitted jacket placed on the waved corrugated sheathing hose segment in a force-locking or form-locking manner.

  • Patent number: 5865475
Abstract: A connection between a building component in the form of a pipe, a mounting part, a housing or the like and a pipe-shaped line element of metal. The building component has an essentially radially extending, ring-shaped contact surface, against which a ring-shaped collar arranged on the line element is tensioned by fastening means that grip behind the collar. In the region between its inside and outside diameter, the collar has at least one axial thickening that extends ring-shaped around the axis for the line element, and that the thickening is produced by axially compressing at least one radially outward extending and at least one radially inward extending annular undulation, arranged adjacent in axial direction, of the wall that forms the collar.

  • Patent number: 5200971
Abstract: In order to improve a high-frequency excited gas laser with longitudinal flow, comprising a discharge channel having laser gas flowing therethrough in a direction of flow and high-frequency electrodes arranged on both sides of the discharge channel for generating a high-frequency discharge transversely to the direction of flow, such that a high output can be achieved with this laser in a manner which is, constructionally, as simple as possible and that its design is, at the same time, as compact as possible, it is suggested that the discharge channel comprise a plurality of channel elements, the channel axes of which are aligned parallel to one another in the direction of flow, that the channel elements be arranged beside or next to one another in a direction of installation transverse to the direction of flow and that the channel elements have a cross section having a greater extension in a first cross direction at right angles to the direction of flow than in a second cross direction extending at right angl

  • Patent number: 4821283
Abstract: In order to so improve an aerodynamic window device for a laser which isolates the laser cavity pressure and comprises a jet nozzle and a diffuser arranged opposite the jet nozzle for generating a free jet extending from the jet nozzle to the diffuser and covering an exit aperture, that variable setting of the pressure level in the laser cavity is possible, it is proposed that a side wall (80) of the diffuser (72) which faces away from the laser cavity (34) be adjustable, at least in sections thereof, relative to a free jet direction (68).

  • Patent number: 4525717
Abstract: A position display instrument for light spot display on a map of the position of vehicles, in particular aircraft or helicopters. The instrument comprises a flat map holder for accommodating and holding map sheets in an exact position, a light transmitter located below the map holder for producing a light spot on the map sheet and movable in two coordinates by positioning means, a microcomputer to which the grid coordinates of the vehicle position are applied from a navigational computer and by which the positioning means are controlled, a memory for storing map data, said memory cooperating with the microcomputer, and display means which is connected to the microcomputer and by which the map sheet or map field required for the respective grid coordinates is displayed.
