Abstract: Embodiments herein generally relate to a method and system for automated evaluation of animals. In at least one embodiment, the method comprises: accessing sensor data acquired of an animal; analyzing the sensor data to generate derivative sensor data; applying feature extraction to one or more of the sensor data and derivative sensor data to extract trait-specific feature data associated with the one or more target traits use for evaluating the animal; and generating one or more evaluation scores for the animal, for each of the one or more target traits, based on the extracted trait-specific feature data for these target traits.
